Ebay Linked my multiple accounts yesterday
 

Be carful guys when listing ps5 systems for sale.

I have 20 ebay accounts that's been working good for 4 years now, till yesterday. When I listed some eight ps5 systems for sale on 1 account, they restricted and linked all my 20 accounts from selling. They asking for photos of my ps5 inventory with my id in front of the items. Plus a bill statement with my address. I sent them what they wanted today on all 20 accounts. I hope they lift the restrictions, im still waiting to see what they do. They froze and put 8500$ on hold also. Be carful guys when selling these systems.

Are these accounts on the same computer? Do they share some of the same information??

Yes same computer. I used different user accounts. 5 accounts in my real name. Other 15 accounts are in different names. All accounts can not sell or withdraw funds as of now. Only can buy items.

Did they all get mc011?? Do they share banks, Addresses, phone numbers or IPs? This is interesting that they linked all 20 together.

Wonder if all the smash and grabs, organized retail theft, is putting pressure on eB to police their site better. Security sure has ramped up.

All had different banks. phones, and IPs and addresses.

but why 20 accounts selling the same item?thats why some folks dont like to shop on Ebay,it is so cluttered with sellers selling same item but varies in price by a penny?

He probably have lots of inventory and doesn’t want to scale his sales too much on 1 account. That’s a great idea. So Incase one of your accounts get hit with a restriction/suspension the others don’t go down and you can continue to sell.

But in those 4 years eBay has managed to link all 20 of his accounts together which is crazy

each windows computer can be uniquely identified. it is not clear if ebay do it but amazon do for sure

Exactly, we know for fact amazon can and more likely ebay aswell its not hard, but shockingly many experienced users still prefer user accounts rather then vm

He said that 5 were using his identity so I would expect those to be linked, but the other 15 were different identities and still linked.

Yes i was selling similar items on the 20 accounts. That's probably what linked them
Im still waiting too see what ebays does on the documents i sent them.

I would not be surprised if they have an anti fraud system becoming active on expensive items. eventually it is easy to identify all accounts located on the same computer regardless of IP's , browsers etc.

Just because somebody says they did everything perfectly, does not mean they did

It would be impossible to link 20 different accounts together unless there was some underlying connection

It could be something that OP never thought of, like picture metadata

Yes I did use some of the same pictures on the accounts. I never thought they could track you by the pictures. And the wording a little different.

Picture metadata shares same camera info and same GPS location that picture was taken

may be he does not have any inventory ?good seller does not get suspended easily.

Meta data seems to show more data now or easier than ever before. I can very easily find out where and when a picture that wasn't cleaned was taken

do you really have all these items in your hands,or are you buying them once someone bought the item?
if so,how do you going about buying them and from whom on what venue and how do you pay for them??

I dont recall where I came across this information but it said venue like AMZN and Ebay subscribed to a service which tracks us,it tracks where we go,what we browse,buy /sell and abandon shopping cart,along with other data it gathered which reveal personal data such as name,address,banks,age,sex.
why abandon shopping cart?merchants always want to know why we abandon shopping cart?
so if you think once you log off Ebay,you can do whatever and Ebay would not know,well it does.
This service co has an odd name starting with U?AND It only serves businesses,not individuals

Any source or explanation how VM makes it different than User accounts and how user accounts can get it linked? Otherwise its a false narrative

Don't need to prove do test yourself and you will see result, user account are not safe at all no wounder people who sell accounts sooner or later get deactivated

Anyway etsy accounts can't be made with Stleath ID, only way to create and sell these with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ identitese not sure how you even allow to sell these here :mad:

I can agree on this. There’s lots of 3rd party trackers that gather all your data about everything you do on the internet. And they sell your information to big companies to target you for ads. It’s so scary that your information is so unique that it’s a 99.999999999999% exact. It’s mostly used just to feed you advertisements. But we never know what else they could be using our information for. The only way to combat it is to change your computer fingerprints.

But we found the OP problem. He was not cleaning the photos metadata

Windows Users works fine for me going on 4 months strong. Managing around 150 accounts no problem.

The OP problem was not cleaning the metadata, pretty sure all your accounts would be linked if you didn’t clean metadata while using VMware’s

Ebay cant just suspend an account just because of photos,there has to be more .
It is not uncommon some one takes better pictures and we copy it and then resell the item.

user accounts are located on the same computer , cleaning metadata etc. is no good as far as computer identification is concerned. all users on the same windows computer can be found if needed because windows has loopholes , it would not work with other OP's but windows it works and it is actively done at least by amazon

I sell products I make myself, I have unlimted supply of this item.
But when I listed them eight ps5 for sale, that's when I had this trouble.

Their bots basically caught you because it's out of the ordinary.
YOu could have gotten away with listing 1 console but 8 all at once is well...

this is certainly a factor especially if the guy usually sells cheap homemade items and suddenly switches to expensive electronic devices that belong to absolute bestsellers on the marketplace
