Need some advice for listing items on new accounts

Hi everyone,

The stealth guide recommends used clothing, toys etc.

Everytime I have listed a pair of jeans they get suspended even a pair listed for 7 days auction 99p used no brand in photos, title or description still gets suspended.

I’m starting to think eBay don’t like me listing jeans up for sale.

What does experience stealth users list on new accounts? On my next account I won’t be listing a pair of jeans as the bots just don’t like it

Appreciate your replies as always

Some times if an item is too cheap it triggers it too. I'd say $5-$10 is bettter.

Another idea is to go to your local garage sale or 1 dollar store and just buy a couple of items you think you can sell for a small profit.

Thanks for your reply can you tell me cheap items to list I’m honestly not bothered about profits until I age my account. I just need to know which items are acceptable to list on new accounts.

I very much agree. You have to think logically like the normal eBay user. A very small percent will go on eBay to sell a item very cheap. The average user is looking to make some money. They will list a risky item for profit. A item too cheap as first listing will definitely trigger some red flags 🚩.

Thanks maybe not list jeans for 99p anymore but it’s also recommended to not use buy it now. I honestly don’t mind if I make a loss my jeans were £70 and I was willing to list for pennies. I just need to know which items to list on new accounts as stealth guide recommends clothes, toys, books. I’ve seen accounts suspended for listing books so what are the items people list to successfully age accounts until they sell their profitable items

A fresh user can sell a risky item no problem. You just don’t want to overdo it like listing lots of quantities or selling too many in a short period of time. That will trigger red flags

This is what I don’t understand as I only listed 1 item for 7 days auction wasnt a lot of items listed. Account limits 100/£3500 I was going to list 5 more items on Thursday then week after 9 following the stealth guide but I didn’t even get that far as I lost the account again.

Surely a pair of used jeans can’t suspend an account?

It should work just don’t list it too cheap as SaiJin said. Too cheap can cause issues too. I used to think listing items for $0.99 would keep the bots away from me but it drawed just as much as a risky item would

I appreciate all your replies I’ve give it another go and list for £5 see if that works :)

Can I also list new item up as buy it now like plastic mailing bags or an office supply?

Auction or buy it now would work

Thanks for your help it does mean a great deal to me.

I will list a computer game for £20 but will wait for the 30 days to turn account into sellers account to see if I will get reactive eBay account

I also think giffgaff mobile hotspot is a no goer now as I have used this network for last 8 accounts and all 8 accounts suspended so think I will try Vodafone mobile hotspot or Three mobile hotspot.

I’ll also use metadata on my daily iPhone 12 to clear all data from images before taking new ones and posting them up on eBay.

Just use your home internet...

And why in the world you'd list a GAME??

I’ve heard a used game listed is okay and a value of £20 is reasonable but we have always been told to list cheap books and clothes but clearly does not work anymore

What items do you list on new accounts?

This is very important for stealthers to know this as mentioned we have been taught to sell clothes and books but doesn’t work anymore

It’s why I created this post to help the community and to know what items we need to list up on new accounts but no recommended items has been given yet which is a real shame and I hope someone can recommend items they have listed on new accounts to help the community

I already told you to go to your local dollar store....

And who said selling used games is ok? We talking about Nintendo / PS5 games?

But it’s not a specific answer on the stealth guide it says clothes, books, toys so we know what to go and get going to a dollar store or Poundland as it’s known in the U.K. is £1 items and these raises red flags.

Please be specific on what items we can list on new accounts?

I’ve spoken to members on the forum through private messages and one person kindly reached out to me and said listing used computer games is okay not sure if they meant ps2 or Nintendo.

They initially said DVDs they have listed and account was okay.

Media and computer games are risky as a first sell, in general

Vital to avoid things like that at first really
