| martyjump | 11-25-2022 01:08 PM | First MC011 ever Been selling on eBay with several accounts for 7-8 years now.
When MP started, I changed all accounts to business and had LLC EIN's attached. My real info as primary shareholder is in the system.
Got my first MC011 today and I can provide tracking on all items. But from what I've read, that is the first hurdle. If I'm correct, they will then want invoices and then possibly bank statements to verify these- and even if you get past this hurdle it will take a long time to clear things up.
I have a few questions.
1) If the account is left in restricted and I don't act on respond past the tracking verification request- will the account eventually be suspended or will it stay in limbo (restricted but not suspended)
2) With the new MP, if this account is suspended will it be linked to my other accounts? They are all business accounts with real EIN's and my real personal details- but different phone numbers and different IP's.
My main concern is linking and having all my accounts go down. I can move on to another one if things with this fall through. |

Its christmas time, MC011 will be normal these days as every year in this time ! |
| murdered_by_ebay | 11-25-2022 05:11 PM | Re: First MC011 ever this depends on the reason for suspension , if it is not copyright or fraud related there is a high chance that no other accounts will be hit |
| solefoodbk | 11-26-2022 12:43 PM | Re: First MC011 ever Right now is the worst time to get a MC011. Based on my experience I'm fairly confident no links occur anymore if you are a BUSINESS ACCOUNT. I have never reused EIN but the business owner with SSN makes every new account "linked" but they don't track it, or don't care too.
Hopefully it stays that way. |

Account will eventually get completely suspended | This is a business account with all real information, ID, etc. with a EIN attached.
All my other accounts are setup the same way but with different EIN's/business LLC's
They are currently unaffected by this account but if this account gets suspendd do you think they all will get suspended? |
| SaiJin | 11-28-2022 02:41 PM | Re: First MC011 ever I doubt they'll all get linked and suspended.
All but this one are fine , correct? |
| degsey69 | 11-28-2022 05:45 PM | Re: First MC011 ever I would recommend that you call and talk with eBay, ask why the MC011 and is that all you need to do to get it unrestricted.
The other accounts should not be effected if you follow the correct protocols so they can not be linked. |

All but this one are fine , correct? | Correct. All the others are still running without issue. I'm waiting for my last item sold to be delivered to reply about tracking numbers and then expecting to be asked for invoices, which I will provide. |

Hows the activity on the other accounts? is it similar items , volume etc? |
| TekkenTagBattle4 | 11-28-2022 11:07 PM | Re: First MC011 ever As for linking: I think your good there especially if your running mulitple IP's
As for not responding: I would respond a fight is better than simply taking defeat this is normal. MC011's happen all the time around this time of year |

This one was opened in 2019 but had low sales up until this spring. Something I noticed was that the last 90 days I had 500 sales on the dot when I got the MC011 notice. I had been selling about $4500 worth a month.
Another thing I noticed about this account is that it had a lower "tracking uploaded and validated" percentage than my other accounts. I think this may be because I was using eBay international shipping on my international orders to save a few bucks but had USPS First Class Mail International in my listings. Something that I should have known better not to do but hindsight is 20/20 and I know not to do it from now on. It was also just easier to print labels with that shipping method.
I've done a lot of thinking because this was a really nice account and I would hate to lose it. It comes down to amount of sales with an account that didn't have a strong selling history (it probably did like $200 a month from 2019 to 2022 spring) and then perhaps the lower than average tracking uploaded and validated. 500 sales within 90 days ON THE DOT seems awfully fishy though. My gut tells me this is most likely metric related and then possibly a review of my statistics afterwards that raised a red flag for a review.
My next phase is going to be an invoice which I will be getting creative with. Does anyone have any experience with which vendor we should supply? I don't think my vendor would pass so I'm going to get creative. I was thinking about going with a low-profile random company that actually exists. |
| martyjump | 11-30-2022 09:38 PM | Re: First MC011 ever I messaged after my last item was delivered saying my tracking info is automatically uploaded into eBay's system because I purchase shipping labels directly through them and to let me know if they need anything else...
I get a message a little less than 24 hours later asking for photo ID (front and back), a copy of a utility bill or bank/credit card statement, an invoice from my supplier and some documentation to prove that my business actually exists.
I have submitted all the requested information- hoping for the best but expecting the worst. I will keep this post updated on what happens. I have approximately 14-15 other EIN accounts that have all my info attached but with different IP's/phone numbers. All real information just different businesses. |

Either way fingers crossed eh |

Not expecting things to go well but who knows? It's worth a shot to save an account. |
| SaiJin | 11-30-2022 10:29 PM | Re: First MC011 ever Again, that's a good mindset.
Now prep yourself for more accounts. |
| martyjump | 12-04-2022 10:06 PM | Re: First MC011 ever Update:
They are now saying that the issue is that the address is registered in a different city (I honestly forgot to update it when I went to "real" during MP besides the business owner info which reflects my location) and that my invoices are to my LLC. They want me to establish a concrete connection to my LLC and verify my identity- which I've already sent in my ID, utility bills, etc.
So I'm sending over my EIN paper from the IRS (Again) and the filing with my state for my LLC. I'm saying I moved and forgot to update my address but my credit card, listings, tracking info, etc is all from my location for the last few years.
It seems good and bad. If it's just an address issue I can update that and I have tons of stuff to verify my identity and I'm the sole member/owner of my LLC. But they may just be trying to find a way to axe me so I'm not holding my breath. Will update as this continues to unfold... |
| martyjump | 12-07-2022 01:05 PM | Re: First MC011 ever Hey guys so just another update to finish this off ... After 2 weeks of so I'm going back and forth with eBay Representatives my account has been reinstated. I got creative with the invoice but the real hurdle was my business was at a old stealth address that I had forgotten to change to a real address. After I did that my account was reinstated. I will note that I told them first that I had forgotten to update my address before going ahead and updating it on my own in the middle of all this. They then instructed me to update my address and I submitted all my paperwork again for about the fourth time and my account was reinstated. I must say that at first I was very discouraged as I had never had this issue before but I am glad that I fought for my account. |
