Default When do you need to logon to ebay if you are using Auctiva?

if you list your items using auctiva or list on ebay directly and set it to "Good till cancel" then I think only time you need to log in ebay is to answer customer messages or send payment to ebay. Is that correct?

Good, I am not alone :-)

I use good till canceled so I only log on to ebay probably once a month for ebay payment. Otherwise I don't log on ebay.

I wrote a application, which can help me to reply customer messages directly to their ebay inbox, w/o login to ebay.

The application uses ebay API, so no cookies or flash cookies to worry about. It also minimize my time spend on replying customer email.

anyone interested? I can paste a few screen caps later on

I thought you can reply to a question by replying to the ebay email you recieve in your inbox.

Not always if they check the "hide my email address" box before sending you a message through eBay.

It would be nice to answer questions per each account while you're at work or on the go but it won't be possible since you would only have 1 IP so you would have to wait until you get home and THEN answer all the questions

Using this option just means their email isn't used in the message, but Ebay still provides a return address which goes back to Ebay which if used means your reply will be relayed to the buyer.

This is one issue, the other issues is, if reply by email, sometimes the message goes to buyers spam folder and they will never read it and claim seller never answered their questions.

It is possible, ebay's api provide 'set End User IP()' method for each api call. so if we use this then we provide an ip for each account.

Why? the api is supposed to be used by service providers and sellers subscribe to the service, so the end user ip method provide a way to send enduser's ip to ebay instead of the service provider's.

Not sure if Auctiva uses this method or not.

I googled and couldn't find any explanation of this method, but this is the api:

The call

However, I am still not sure if ebay records the machine's IP.
