Are Sri Lanka accounts now useless?
 

Hi everyone. I got a fresh Sri Lankan account and I can't list anything from US.
Here's what eBay is saying:

Approved sellers from there are selling these type of accounts and that's funny that no one never mentioned that Sri Lanka accounts useless.

it is likely that you need to use sri lanka as location until the account is established

then they would either just allow to use a different country or it would be easier to get approval

russia is under sanctions so other countries are needed , I am not sure though if sri lanka should be used

russian sellers who were restricted because of sanctions usually open up in georgia , kazakhstan and armenia

That's right. I had account in Georgia for almost 2 years and established it with only positive feedbacks but they restricted me from US marked because I have 0.34% Item Never Received rate lol.
Thank you for the advice. I'll try to slowly grow sales from Sri Lanka location. We'll see if it works.

Sri Lanka accounts are useless imo
I've tried 5
Only 1 still works and it's because I haven't sold $150usd worth of stuff yet

Seems like once I start actually selling they die.
Would not recommend. Waste of time and money.
I found someone who was able to get the money out of Payoneer for me, I got lucky about that.

all countries outside of UK , USA , GERMANY and a few others are considered to be risky

keep in mind that over 95% of ebay sellers are in the above 3 countries

Considerable bulk these days in terms of volume are in China and a lot use HK or China based accounts.

those from china were all registered in the above three countries until recently and they were always there , just now they are forced to rebrand because of MP

Yep changed just over a year ago so the make up of where ebay accounts are registered changed quite a lot because of it

It appears that some Sri Lankan accounts were able to list items with a US location, but most of the newer accounts have been locked or restricted from doing so. This situation might be due to changes in platform policies or increased security measures to prevent certain activities or ensure compliance with location-based selling rules
