So I have made a new stealth account, and posted first auction, but in seller hub it doesnt show me any limit, which is odd to me, but when I go to "help & contact" and type "selling limit" this message comes up:
Currently, you've listed or sold 1 items of your 2,000,000,000 monthly limit. You can list or sell up to £1,999,999,999.01 more to reach your £2,000,000,000.00 monthly limit.
Anyone has any ideas why it doesnt show nothing in the main sellers hub? |
| Nimble | 07-28-2023 09:21 AM | Re: new stealth account limits It means you don't have any selling limits on the account, but tread carefully and scale slowly, I had couple accounts newly created like these but one got suspended after £1400 of sales within 2 weeks.
Look after it, grow slowly and you will be fine. |
| murdered_by_ebay | 07-28-2023 10:36 AM | Re: new stealth account limits obsession with listing limits on ebay is pointless , the system does not work this way
with no or little recent selling history the actual limits are very low even if you can list a lot , if you start listing / selling a lot suddenly you just get restricted or suspended |
| BigLad | 07-28-2023 12:20 PM | Re: new stealth account limits I got exactly the same just now when making an account.
The selling limits are no automatically displayed, I then did what you did and check the help section.
I am expecting the account to be suspended
It's probably their little joke when they know they are about to suspend you |
| degsey69 | 07-28-2023 02:09 PM | Re: new stealth account limits Just do small value no risk sales and you can slowly build it and perhaps keep it. |
| Nimble | 07-28-2023 03:59 PM | Re: new stealth account limits I would suggest keep below £1200 monthly sales for first 3 months then double it after that, this way you can build feedback and good service metrics and account will continue fine. |

| bluefin02 | 08-04-2023 02:13 AM | Re: new stealth account limits I also signed up about 1.5 months ago and got the 2,000,000,000.00 limit. I spoke to someone on chat and they said it just means the account doesn't have a limit at this time, usually a business account where documents/info cleared without any bumps. This wouldn't be the same for a personal account (limit).
You can easily sell $1500-$2000 per month, if you do it over the course of the month, ship quickly or same day and try to use eBay labels rather than a third party and entering tracking (you will also get your funds quicker this way - upon delivery not 14 days).
If all the data matches up during registration, there is no reason to just automatically ban accounts, in fact eBay is facing their own share of lawsuits for various things right now. Yes there are checkpoints but it's crucial to make sure your documents and info lines up and is accurate. If you start switching names, bank accounts, shipping late, lots of returns, done.
Also remember, a, "stealth" account can be one with similar info to yours, or it can be entirely of another identity. If it is another identity, it is not really a, "stealth" account to ebay. |
