The feedback will stay.

Sometimes if you get a nice rep on the chat you can show them your prompt willingness to resolve the buyer's complaints plus you gave him a refund/discount. Try at least 2-3 different agents, it may work in your favour.

I noticed you said the word "clipper". If you are in the name brand and category I think you're selling in, I am also selling products in that area. The buyers can be extremely picky and difficult. Not to mention the language barrier.

I even sent him the box it came in. (open box never used) he wanted a refund. I just granted it to him via ebay though I'm not refunding the shipping cost. also told him and ebay that he could keep the item.

Make sure you don't get feedback revision request confused with feedback removal request, they are two separate things

thank you. I just did a feedback removal request. ebay's response:

We've received your request to remove this feedback. We'll review it and respond within 8 hours. You can also check Request status for any updates.
If you've had an issue with a buyer, you can also stop them from bidding on or buying any of your items. Just add them to your blocked buyers list. They'll be blocked until you remove them from the list.

It looks like the big guy in the sky has your back and had the feedback removed.

The righteous will prevail.

Well done.

Re: bad news buyer asked for refund

I think you need a deep look into how you do ebay sales. 1) Anyone can return anything at anytime, even if you don't offer returns. If the item was truly working, maybe bad luck and one off, but is it that hard to sell it again?
Trying to not pay for shipping and just refunding the item is stupid. Let the buyer return the item and if it never comes back, you don't have to refund, if it does come back and its not what you sent, give him 50% refund and move on.
The funds were probably held when he opened a return and will be taken from future sales unless you don't have any future sales, then they will bill your payment source.
if you retaliate and try to leave him negative feedback, I think ebay would (and should) shut your account down and if I was the buyer I would leave you negative feedback as well.

Run an honest business and you won't have any problems (not saying you sold him garbage, but I am saying your way of handing it is garbage :) )
