I have questions about INFORM Consumers Act, leaks your name and address. Read https://www.ebay.com/sellercenter/re...-consumers-act
A high-volume seller is someone who has sold 200 or more new items totaling more than $5,000 in a 12-consecutive-month period over the last 24 months on our US site.
Regardless at 20k they leak your info to customers in emails
But it looks like if you list as like new or used very good, you can bypass leaking your info until 20k
Based on reading the above paragraph does it look like it's ok to list as "like new" on ebay count as "pre-owned or not new"
eBay reps are clueless on this topic.
It started in July,
Mercari website about it states:
According to the INFORM Consumers Law, a high-volume third party seller is anyone who completes 200 transactions and makes $5,000 or more in gross sales of “new” or “like new” items on Mercari in any continuous 12 twelve-month period during the previous 24 months.
I'm wondering if ebays system considers like new as "not new" which makes you able to sell to 20k without leaking extra info
eBay already knows my info, I just prefer customers to not know my info and want to keep it that way lol
It also looks like you can sell up to 199 items and quit for the rest of the 12 months.
Thoughts?
