50/50 eBay partner
Listing on eBay with a business partner, looking for any tips,
tricks, help or advice.
Over 10 years ago, I was permanently banned from selling on eBay. I didn’t know the reason why, they did not tell me the reason why.
In reading post on this site, it looks like maybe because I scaled up? I found tons of sources for product, had a warehouse, had three people listing was listing 300 or more items per week. Very low return rate one negative feedback.
I still have good connections for sourcing products and am now working with a business partner splitting 50-50. The issue I have now is I am doing 100% of the sourcing and finding comps for items for us to list.
I print out each item for him to list and give ideas for titles and key information. Yet, I Do not feel he’s doing even 50% of the job I could be doing.
Taking crappy pictures, titles not accurate, misspelled words acting more like an employee than a business partner.
we’ve been at it for two months. Listing about 100 listings per week. These are not high dollar items. These are Yard Sale, we are everything sellers, I’m having to do other side projects to stay afloat, and Iʼm trying to make this my main income. I’m not sure it’s going to be a realistic?
We are putting in $150 each per wk, $300 wk. total for cost of goods. We are averaging $400 to $500 a week each right now in profit. I haven’t found/looked at other posts of people that have mentioned doing something like this. I was just wondering if anyone on here has and if they have any advice.
It’s exhausting, because I am spending 1 to 2 hours per day correcting his mistakes. I’m wondering if Iʼm not better off just paying him $300 a week to not even show up, lol.
Iʼd like to profit $1,000 plus per week. I can source the product, we can figure out a way to get it listed to me.
It looks like our sellthrough rate is still too low.
Any thoughts suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciate it.
Thank you. Jeff
