These Listing Removals Are Getting On My Last God Damn Nerves

I already made a thread about this here:
https://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-d...-removals.html

This has been happening since May. Literally items that I was selling with no issues before that date suddenly started getting removed. Even on my 1-2 year olds accounts.

Items range from batteries, clothing to handmade glass & electronics.

I even tested everything if it could be the account from phone numbers to how the account is created. Nothing is working.

There are numerous other sellers literally selling the same thing, but yet their listings stay in tact. There is no way for them to even be reporting my items since they are just regular casual sellers who don't deal in the niche I deal with.

I even made a test where I copied one of the sellers listing word for word and even picture. Mine gets hit and theirs stays up.

I even made a report on the listing of theirs and I get this back this:
https://i.gyazo.com/36a321e65ddfdfa3...8b02be7282.png

Literally what is going on here.

I would think there is some kind of flag on your account. It seems to follow you, and doesn't depend on the wording, photos, etc. Do you have another account you could try listing maybe one item to watch and see how long it remains live?

some one is reporting and most likely it is a competitor. Had a similar problem until I found out who it was.

Items range from batteries, clothing to handmade glass & electronics.
-are they new items sold by AMZN ,WMT ?
-do you have them in stock?
-are you using stock photos from AMZN,WMT?

From what I read, I think more buyers are dropping off eBay year by year and going elsewhere.
Depends on what they buy, I was looking for another Kenmore heater like the one I bought years ago from Sears.com,it is no longer made.
But I found it on Ebay brand new in box from a seller with zero feedback and have only one listing for sale,I would not want to buy it as it may not work,so I bought a similar one on WMT.
I know INAD,seller pays return shipping, but time is money too,we are expecting another freezing temp soon, like tonite!!

BTW,does any one of you notice AMZN return policy,it said if we find out you return an item which is not the original or it has been tempered with,we would not refund you!

Not to mention to, Temu is absolutely killing a lot of these etailers with items for cheap prices.

My postman told me about TEMU,I want to buy a calender cheap, but minimum order for free ship is $35.so I end up with things I dont need.

These aren't items sold by Amazon or walmart.

Clothing is used, electronics well they are pen batteries 510 ones that you use for soldering. They are brand name which I am authorized to sell from by local supplier. Glass is all handmade by my local supplier to.

I will out one item here:

https://i.gyazo.com/a7d8ee57cfe48c84...5285f3cf94.png

Basically did a test and reported multiple listings similar to that. Some get that message back which doesn't violate policy while mine gets taken down.

Now you can search that full battery "Focus V Carta" and you can see in sold listings that multiple sellers have sold over the course of 6 months.

Yet during that time, I list one like that and mine gets taken down nearly 30 minutes of listing it. Now I also did a test and reported all those sold listings with that search term on there.

Some get removed while others stay up despite having that keyword on there.

So I can't figure out what is flagging the account from the get go like Automasters has mentioned.

I know for sure it is not account age as my 2 year old accounts still get removed when I list it.

They have numerous amounts available. I only list one to start the accounts off or go slow with the account to build them up.

Wonderful, looks like something similar to Poshmark. This is exactly why I am putting more thought process in building my own website because every year they make it harder on us. It will only get harder, and harder.

Oh trust me, right now I am getting my website up and sticking my instagram handle on the product boxes so they can go there.

I list those same exact items on poshmark and Mercari and they don't get taken down.

From what I read, I think more buyers are dropping off eBay year by year and going elsewhere.

Either way, it is mostly an advertising channel going forward.

Yeah their MAU's peaked in Q4 2018 per their earnings report. Some of those accounts are probably inactive but they include them as part of the users. It was at it's highest 179M, now 132M, and yes I agree. The average person isn't going on eBay to list product anymore, it's much easier on a Poshmark, Depop etc.

I really don't think eBay will last, by end of the decade they'll be irrelevant. They have the same MAU's back in 2013. That's horrible, and when you think of all the ways they've increased revenues is basically just squeezing more money out of ads, and increasing fees. That's where the extra sales come from, there is no growth with eBay.

I figure you take a Shopify website, or whatever website you use, sure you need to pay for ads but even if you took 15% that's about what you're paying on eBay already. Except 15% on ads and you don't have to worry about eBay messing with you.

It's the weed related stuff getting your listings removed. If those kinds of things are going to be listed at all, it needs to be after the account has been selling something a lot less risky and prone to lawmaker scrutiny for a while.

510 thread pen batteries? Only heard of those being used in the last 5 years for vaping THC
"glass tobacco pipe"? That's a weed pipe.. risky AF.

Other sellers my @$$. I took a look yesterday after reading your post and I was able to find like 2 listings on the whole site for 510 batteries, both listed from new (and soon to be dead) accounts. You have nothing to gain here by trying to make it seem like you're being unfairly bullied by eBay when anything e-cig related has been death sentences to eBay sellers of all shapes and sizes for YEARS now. It doesn't matter what sellers on a Chinese venue are doing when it comes to the operation of your eBay account. If you keep listing things that are just barely legal, or that are legal but age restricted, you are going to keep having your listings removed.

I wasn't aware of the latest loophole of putting a metal tip on the ecig battery and calling it a portable soldering iron, but either way it is just that, a loophole. eBay has been involved in the vape scene in some capacity since its inception, and they aren't stupid. The same evod battery that was a vape battery 5 years ago is still going to be considered an ecig battery, soldering attachment or not.

Never said I was trying to make it seem like I am a victim here, so quit putting words in people's mouth.

I am stating I am trying to figure out why certain listings are getting pulled and others are not.

Take this one:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/145560245269

I have another listing up for a 510 pen that has been up for a week that has been listed and has yet to be taken down. Same for another 2 accounts listing a 510 threaded product.

Yet on several other accounts, they get taken down almost immediately.

I know E-cigs are restrictive sherlock. What I am saying is, 90% of the products I sell were not getting taken down before the month of may last year.

And this is evident on the eBay forums were items weren't even tobacco or Ecig related. They ranged from clothing to antique or even other products.

I could literally give a Flying F about the chinese sellers, their country doesn't even come into the picture. It's the regular sellers in the US that I am talking about.

Re: These Listing Removals Are Getting On My Last God Damn Nerves

there is only one way to stop it , each account with item removal would need to stop selling for several months , once removals start they just continue unless account stops selling for a while or gets restricted/suspended , after that it is better not list anything that was removed before

Temu aka the new wish is in fact taking $$$ from amazon and eBay.
They advertise the crap of themselves on facebook too. I think they'll phase out sooner than later once people wise up.
