Well, as you can tell I'm really new to the forum and just need some advice and appreciate all the advice and time from you guys.
So here's the situation: I sold an item to a user in Madldives and it was via USPS flat rate envelope. My stupid self didn't know, flat rate international does not track. So basically the buyer filed a claim on ebay saying he did not receive the item. I just got an email from ebay saying I owe them money and it is possible they can send collections at me.
Are they able to do this? I registered and had my real info on the account but I just changed it about 5 minutes ago. The sum of the item was also 440 USD. Will it hurt my credit history?
Once again, thanks.

since it is your real info, they will send you to collections, but ruining your credit, i dont know about that, they dont have your social security number do they??? best way is to prove you shipped it out and show a receipt, usually usps receipts have the zip code and city on the receipt to where its going...if not... than you think what is best for you and dont let them step on you..
I don't remember every giving paypal or ebay my social security number. Where would they be able to get that info from me? I also paid for shipping online. Is there anything i can do?
ye call the shipping company give them your name and adress, and see if they can pull up the online receipt for you, maybe they have it on file... or check your email address...for the verification....comon now...
