| | | | | superduper1 | 10-25-2024 08:18 AM | Why Does Ebay Support Unjust Negative Feedback Can Somebody please explain to me what Ebay actually wants to acheive by non removal of unjust negative feedback by Humans based on common sense?
Now at first thought it would be that they want Sellers to up their game and become perfect
BUT
Ive just realised that you can get Negative feedback even if you sold brand new items, sent out on time etc etc. I sold a brand new bottle of perfume and got a negative from seller saying it dosent last as if to say i made it. I had another negative based on me kindly asking the buyer to please leave us positive feedback to an item i had delivered. They said that my message was hassling them
For Example, Its only if somebody writes that they will virtually K**L you, that they wouldn't class that under "Its the Buyers Experience"
The reason for all this is because how on earth will even the holiest power sellers ever be able to mantain 100 percent even if they have been on for decades. Your now sending out products for Approval |

however , they have degraded the feedback system by making negative feedbacks less visible to buyers |

you can post a comment to defend your product. |

| OldTom | 10-26-2024 05:33 AM | Re: Why Does Ebay Support Unjust Negative Feedback Contrary to the 'we're here to help' message sellers recently received the feedback removal process is surely still being managed by AI bots and they're not willing to override this system manually.
I sell some wares and recently had a cluster of 2 negs and 1 neutral for 'not as described' out of many thousands. They are, you choose your model from a drop down box. How can you not know your own stuff? Applied online for it to be removed - denied. Rang them up explaining the stupidity of this and again denied.
To add insult to injury I applied for a postage credit for the two that were returned ( I shipped the right version) and both were denied. |

look at the big picture,as long as your business is profitable.dont sweat the small stuff.

This is between you and your buyer, once you agree to accept return for INR,you pay return shipping OR you can opt to let the buyer keeps or destroy the item . |

In any event, what irks me and others I guess is their 'we're here for sellers' messages when in reality it is mere lip service. |

This clearly has nothing to do with INR, it's 'not as described'.
It is not between me and the buyer, it is an enforced policy by ebay - the agreement is with them not the buyer should I want the goods returning.
You also missed the point I made about postage credit. |
| agent006140 | 10-26-2024 07:59 AM | Re: Why Does Ebay Support Unjust Negative Feedback sorry,i mean INAD.
I dont understand that part of asking Ebay to issue you return postal credit?
If UK is the same as US,when your buyer printed and used the shipping label to return the item to you,the post office will charge Ebay's USPS account, and then Ebay turns around and charge your Ebay seller account.
Are you saying Ebay should reverse that amount?then you need an Ebay rep to manually go to your account to do so. |
| smhclfc | 11-01-2024 04:50 AM | Re: Why Does Ebay Support Unjust Negative Feedback eBay customer services are awful - one person left the negative for me and it was intended for another seller. eBay just removed the comment and left the rating! |
| lymbo70 | 11-24-2024 10:31 PM | Re: Why Does Ebay Support Unjust Negative Feedback Is there any trick to get the feedback removed? can a lawyer write a letter to ebay and request removal? |
| agent006140 | 11-25-2024 07:50 AM | Re: Why Does Ebay Support Unjust Negative Feedback If you can afford a lawyer, you may want to use the money on the buyer, offer him a good sum of money he cant refuse. |

| agent006140 | 11-26-2024 02:34 PM | Re: Why Does Ebay Support Unjust Negative Feedback You never know, they can bring them back.
Some sellers get special treatments, you are just not one of them |
| JamesNorth101 | 12-02-2024 05:12 AM | Re: Why Does Ebay Support Unjust Negative Feedback Years ago when sellers used to be able to leave neg feedback it made the buyers a lot more accountable and much more hesitant to leave nonsense negative feedback
Since they removed that its gradually gotten worse and worse with more and more buyers realising they can use the feedback as a way to get refunds - or force sellers to send free items / issue the refund without taking the items back |
| agent006140 | 12-02-2024 06:55 AM | Re: Why Does Ebay Support Unjust Negative Feedback EBAY said it did a study and buyers said they hesitated to buy as seller could leave them negative feedback.
In real world, retailers cannot say bad things about their customers, they can ban them from future buying. |

In real world, retailers cannot say bad things about their customers, they can ban them from future buying. | Personally as a seller if someone is hesitant to buy from me people I may leave them negative I would rather they didnt it generally means they are also anticipating that they are going to cause a problem |
