Does email matter?

Does it matter which email provider I use?

ex:

Gmail vs
yahoo
outlook
icloud mail,
etc?


and if it did matter, why would it?
Are they tracking what social media accounts were made on these accounts and its age / history as well?

I personally use a mix of gmail and hotmail/outlook.

Gmail accounts are nicer, although outlook accounts don't give me so many issues in the long term.

@OP, doesn't matter at all for the domain of the email. Just don't re-use email addresses

For registration, it's not a problem - as far as your own personal communication, those are old school but sketchy...there are real people with old email addresses though

Not many use AOL any more.
AOl gives you 4-5 email addresses per account,but it will reveal that those accounts are related.
Not sure how Yahoo email work,it is not an ISP?

Just a web-based email service these days
