some of them seem to be beyond that and think that they will be collected and transported to some other place right away

My friend... You are not from the UK so you havent got a clue. You're just guessing.
We all pay council tax. This is about 1200 GBP per year and funds trash collections and emergency services. So.. we cant get out of that.. we all pay it.
If we drive a vehicle we pay road tax, which, on my audi is £265 per year and on my van its £350 per year. Part of this covers road safety.
Tax from selling on ebay does NOT go to the police, roads, safety. It goes to wars and other unknown spending that we haven't got a clue about. Now, paying these taxes are absolutely no problem with me... IF... the government were competent and are providing a safe country to live in. The UK has gone down hill dramatically over the years and even further into becoming a 3rd world country thanks to labour, the current money grabbing government. And ive just read today, they are chasing even home owners that have solar panels and thus selling excess electricity back to the grid.. they are now liable to pay tax. WTF. This government can go to hell.

I'll take the risk. If they come knocking, they'll be a new joker born, and I'll turn to crime to pay off the big bill they'll slap on my head. But, it's OK, doing crime pays well these days in the UK. | I left the UK two years ago because I felt similarly
Too many are complying too easily and I think because the UK PAYE system is so robust few have no choice but too pay extortionate amounts of tax
When governments come looking for even more
in these little grey areas where people are trying to make a little bit on the side they are really really pushing their luck IMO
At this point it does come down to general public compliance and I think more and more people are at a point where their saying f*ck it and aren't complying
The UK gov has a very very big problem on its hands because it keeps pissing money away and bringing in these stealth taxes but then the standard of living is just getting worse and worse
In Australia they do the same but actually use the money to make the country better and therefore the standard of living is good enough people are not at the point of anarchy

Maybe WW3 is a good way to get rid of all the unwelcome visitors, they'll soon scurry back to their 'dangerous' homes once the sh*t hits the fan. Quote: |

| Don't make me laugh. We saw how the Australian government were 'making the country better' during Covid by sticking their own citizens in concentration camps and not allowing those overseas to return to their own country.

But when one has small kids and is separated from their mother.. One would struggle not being near your kids.
I forgot to mention to my yank brother...
If we want to call the police for a crime less than a murder... You'll be EXTREMELY lucky if they come out. Ive caught gangs on my cctv attempting to steal my car but couldn't so stole the contents of it and the police asked if their face is showing, I said.. a little, they have hoods up, they replied "Nothing we can do". I said they have no gloves on and are touching my car, they did not want to know. The crime is just too small to help this little council tax payer.
Perhaps this is a good instance where the US is better where we can pull a glock out and take their knee caps out.

So, are we entering our real NI number or accidentally mistyping it?
Whats the general consensus | You can simply "mistype" a few digits on your NI, works for me | |
