Ebay-Paypal Tracking Item?
 

hi im a total ebay and paypal newbie and this question is going to sound very stupid. But how do i track an item when someone bids on it and wins, when i ship it how do i track it? how does the process work i drop it off at ups and pay for shipping and they give me tracking info or what? do i have to show ID? what if im just selling a small item through the mail in an envelope through the postal service how do i get tracking for that? i just am having hard time understanding how you prove you shipped the item and provide tracking information? thanks.

Hi, if you are sending small/cheap items you don't need to worry about tracking.

I'm afraid I don't know that much about the United States postal system but if you use USPS I guess the easiest option is to take the package down to the post office. You tell the cashier what it is worth and that you want to send it with tracking/signature confirmation. You pay and get a receipt with the tracking number on.

You can then enter this number on Paypal so the buyer gets it and you can track the package through the USPS website.

Or if you use a courier you can do it all online. You pay the postage, print the label and either arrange for a pick up or drop it off yourself. This will then be scanned by the courier and you will again have a tracking number to enter on PayPal and the couriers website.

You need to go read read read. IF you are a pokerguru you should know that you have to prepare,plan and work the best deal. ebay is the same.

ok ok ok lol. i know i have been busy reading like crazy. but i am total newb with ebay. i have been reading and have found different answers i cant really seem to find contcrete answers im looking for. but i will keep reading. poker is different then ebay in many ways lol you have much more control in poker. your not going up against some dictator with a million rules and policies to get around. but in some ways their are many similiarties. well im trying to figure out how to get started with all this. i have big plans to become very wealthy through ebay. and im not going to let them stop me.

Poker, I highly suggest you purchase the stealth book. Do some reading on the forum, read the book, and then I bet most of your questions will be answered. :D
