I want to open an international paypal account - does anyone know which country's bank has visa/mc gift cards? I know there is a sticky for Gift Cards but there is nothing on international cards...

Also, does Paypal check AVS for China? I have a visa from Merchant Bank (which is really huge in China) and it did not work on Paypal. I have a balance on it too...

You need to have a debit card that works online. Many banks outside the US offer this.

No AVS-check for China...I tested it a couple of days ago...

The only countries that support AVS are US, Canada and a few European countries, I believe Germany and UK, but not 100% there yet either. All other countries don't support it.
