Default Case Resolution Help Any Ideas???

Ok, so here is the sitch. I listed and sold my first item on E-bay. It was a radio from a car. I replaced the factory one with a nav unti and saw people selling these on E-bay for a couple of hundred. I listed the radio describing exactly what it is to include the model number and detailed photos. The radio sold for a hundred bucks and it was paid promptly and I sent it to the purchaser. I received an e-mail from E-bay the other day that the purchaser is requesting their money back stating that the cd player does not work. I did put in my ad "no returns" as I was worried about something happening to it from shipping or someone trying to rig it for other applications and something happening to it, after all, it is an electronic device. Anyway, long story short, E-bay told me they "ruled" in favor of the purchaser and I am to take it bake and fully refund the purchaser. Am I crazy for thinking this is wrong?? They stated the purchaser said they tried numerous attempts to contact me, the item was not as described, etc. The person not once tried to contact me. After looking at the purchaser, a retailer on their site, did they rule in their favor due to them buying and selling mkore on their site? Does anyone have a way to contact them other than their site??

Thank You

Randy

welcome to the world of ebay buyer rip offs. There is almost nothing you can do 99% of the time and it happens all the time.

Here is what happens

1. buyer buys item.
2. you ship item.
3. buyer gets item and one of a few things happens.
(A) buyer does not like item.
(B) buyer brakes item.
(C) buyer changes mind.
4. buyer **** you over.

Something that can help with this down the road and something I do from time to time on higher end electronic. Take a video of everything working on it and post it on youtube and send the link to the buyer the same day you ship the item.

I know thats a pain but it works. I sent someone a computer server that I sold on ebay and they said it came DOA and wanted there money back. plus the money to ship it back to me as it was not a cheap item to ship. Anyways I sent the link to paypal and the buyer and guess what he dropped it, left good feedback and then told me he was sorry and that he would take it up with UPS. Can you say busted.

There is nothing you can do! You must accept returns! PayPal does not look at any information that you submit that is other than what's in the comment section of dispute in the Resolution Center.

If there are buyers that fall for gimmicks such as Youtube videos, pictures etc,. that's because they don't know how the dispute process works.

Hi guys, please help me out on this,
I an not a stealth ebayer I didnt even know that this could be done, till now).
Anyways I listed a ps3 test unit on ebay: 200470774461, within 5 mins I got an email from someone in the USA, saying that he would pay £460.00 for it if I listed in on eBay for a buy it now price, as that way he will be covered if I didnt send the item.
I agreed here is the item no for buy it now: 200470774461.
As soon as he got the item he said that "Received it yesterday, however when I turn it on it doesn't display anything on screen. I'll keep trying, but it seems its defective. I've tried resetting the settings by holding the power button, but still nothing."
Then the same day he sent this "
This ps3 test is now yellow lighting (Yellow Light of Death) YLOD. This is definitely not what I paid for. I'm going to need a refund."
I sent him the PS3 working and now he wants to rip me off, is there anything I can do, please help as I only sold it as I needed the money. Now it looks like I will be out off pocket of £60 for postage via DHL and wont have a PS3 to show for it.

Please someone help me out.

Warm Regards.

Paypal only really cares about the tracking info. If paypal decides in the buyers favor, they will require them to ship it back.

Ebay will also require the buyer to ship it back, and you'll get your fees back. Why not just try to sell it again?

Hi thanks for the reply, I cant sell it again, he claims it is not working. YLOD, I have no idea what he has done to it or swaped it for a dead system. So you see I cant sell a faulty system on eBay.
I sent him a fully working system, now hes trying to rob me, and I want to stop him from doing that. I hate paypal and ebay

That is in clear violation of ebay's seller policies
