Default Unfair negative?

here's the story, i sold an item on ebay on May 29, accepted payment through paymate and today(Jun 1st) i was given a negative feedback because payment was still processing.
Buyer's negative remark: "using paymate as payment method. still awaiting payment to clear..."
Here's my question, how do i remove negative feedback or report him/her to eBay?
I feel like not shipping this product to him/her, cuz he/she has done his worst already and there might be ridiculous issues even if he receives the item.
Please, lemme know your advice guys. Thanks!

Always first contact the buyer and try to work it out with them and find some resolution. If they agree to remove the neg submit a feedback revision request so they can change it to a positive comment. Oh and always be very nice and courteous in your communications!

Post # 2 is great advice. By all means have a rant here, but deal with the buyer calmly. The buyer does seem an oddball. Why would a payment clear over a holiday weekend?

Additionally, the buyer might be in a hurry to pull some funny business. Negging the seller based on a delay from the payment processor isn't right at all. Perhaps the buyer is using the feedback system as a petty extortion tool?

When the buyer paid you through Paymate they should have gotten a email explaining that it can take 2-3 business days to process the payment. Once its processed and the buyer receives a email saying that it cleared and you also should have gotten the email saying the payment and cleared letting you know it is okay to ship the item. I would ask them if they got either of those emails from Paymate. One downside to Paymate is that once you get the email saying the payment went through it does not update in My Ebay and will just show as payment processing forever. I always go in and mark it as payment received and shipped.

Hey now a days I think alot of buyers are actually some angry sellers and they will neg like they have a hair trigger. Just one problem bam neg. They want to neg for things that doesn't even have anything to do with the whole buying experience.

This is a big problem and I think it's happening a whole lot more. I even read somewhere that the whole reason ebay changed the whole feedback process because sellers were leaving buyers 8x negative feedback then buyers were leaving sellers lol.

Hey guys, i contacted the buyer with this message "Your payment was made on 29th May, which happens to be weekend coupled with memorial holiday. Paymate functions as a bank, that was why your payment couldn't be cleared during those off days. I humbly request a revision of feedback left so as to complete the transaction to your maximum satisfaction. I'm terribly sorry for the coincidence of circumstances that led to this ordeal.
Thank you and God bless!"
Hurray!!!! The buyer revised it to Neutral saying "payment cleared, awaiting delivery"
I'm so happy guys, got my feedback back to 100% as always.
Thank you guys!

Just curious, is it possible for a buyer to change his/her feedback without submitting the revision process through eBay?

That is a Tough Negative, Is that Normal Processing time for Paymate (I Have Never Used it) or is that a Memorial day weekend thing?

It is Great that it was changed to a Neutral, but believe it or Not Ebay Still considers it a Negative Internally, so you could still get a SNP ( seller Non Performance) Suspension. If your feedback suffers another negative, even Though it will still say above 98% when Ebay Recalculates The Feedback adding the Neutral as a Negative their Internal feedback percentage will come out lower and it May trigger the Suspension.

Ebay considers a Neutral as the Buyer NOT Having a Positive Experience.

The Good thing is that the Feedback Can NOT get changed Again, so take your time shipping.

Buyer is still a knob! You get neutral because of a holiday/weekend? Do they realize you don't control when companies open and close?

Had it been paypal, and instant, would he be pissed all the shipping companies were closed? ... I could just see his outrage "Bought on a Friday night, seller never shipped until Monday!"

Buyer is a tool. The internet is not magic.... I have seriously been emailed 45 minutes after an auction asking if I shipped item yet.

@slapped, paymate usually take 2-4 days to deposit funds into the bank account.

@kolapo
Make sure from now to check your sellers dashboard and watch everything. as slapped said the neutral is not well received by ebay.

Is there any way you can somehow advise future buyers about shipping if using paymate? (like shipping is done 2 days after paypment cleared or whatever...) just my .2c

Or, Attention! We ship only when payment clears our bank. Four to five days is the norm. Same day shipping is possible only if you agree sooner that this was a "positive experience."

Thanks, for that, but what I meant was how long does it take Paymate to Verify that the Buyer Payment has Cleared, in other words With Paypal, if the Buyer has the money in their account Paypal notifies you Instantly 24/7, is it Generally the same for Paymate?

I have NEVER had a Problem in all the years I am selling on ebay with Vintage items.

If they are watched the ONLY Way they can have the listing pulled is if the item Description or Photo CLEARLY shows them that the item is a Counterfeit.

Vintage Items Change Hands COUNTLESS times over the Years there is NO WAY that a manufacturer could keep track.

The ONLY way they would be to Keep track is if the Item REQUIRES it to be Registered Somewhere Showing Ownership, Items like "the Mona Lisa" or a Picasso Painting Items that would be sold in Christies or Sotherbys Auction Houses In Manhattan Not Ebay. they could be Homes, Cars, Boats, ect,ect

So I truly believe that it would be Difficult at best for a VERO Owner to give you a Problem over a Probuct that they sold to Who Knows Who 25 years ago, and who knows where it has been since then.

But then again Anything is possible, I just do not see how.

I think you are into something I'm not or visa versa. But that's helpful to know there are pockets of immune selling categories still to be tested. PS I mostly get jealous competitors turning me in. I found a way around that.

I had one problem on a vintage item .. the vero rights owner had a small attorney firm pulling the listings and they were clueless .. if you sell vintage sports items it is really best to leave manufacture out of title ..music it is actually small bands and artist you will get the most problems out of and make sure your music items have the licensing agreement on them and you will get left alone as long as it is legit....as far as vintage getting watched alot i dont think so unless it is a heavy counterfiet item of some sort ..
