Then eBay hit me with a MC028. This was on a PowerSeller account too, really annoying. |
I HATE to say it but I think that this type of Buyer Behaviour is going to get Worse, As More and More Buyers Discover that Almost NOTHING can happen to them anymore on Ebay they will begin to do as they Please including Scamming sellers.
Remember as Sellers we are on Ebay EVERY DAY, and are VERY In tune with all of ebays policy changes, When this policy change was introduced, EVERY SELLER was talking about it instantly!!!
How Many Buyers do you think talked about it?
Buyers visit Ebay Maybe once a week, once a Month, once a Year, 2 years.' Depends. It will take a Lot longer for this policy Change to Become "Common Knowledge" among Buyers, than it did for sellers.
Think about this, What if a Buyer Buys Lets say a Blu Ray player, Pays, The Seller Ships, The Buyer Recieves The Item, Unpacks it, Fills the Box with Newspapers, then Opens a "Not as Described" Dispute with Ebay/Paypal Claiming that you sent him a Box of Newspapers.
Who Has the Bigger problem With Ebay/Paypal The Buyer or the Seller?
This "Hypoththical" Situation could have Always Happened on Ebay in the past, However Sellers ALWAYS had the Ability to Warn Fellow Sellers about this Buyer, Limiting the Scam Buyer to fewer Victims, Now they Do Not have to worry about that at ALL.
Situations like these are going to get More and More popular, where someday it might be Smater to create Stealth Accounts to BUY Rather than to Sell!!!
Imagine having an Electronics store or something Loaded with all the Latest and Greatest Tech where you could sell at Prices that NO ONE Could touch you because All of your inventory Cost you NOTHING!!! Customers would be Lining up for Miles and Miles---ON SALE APPLE 32GB IPAD--$299.99---IMAGINE THAT!!!
If you then think, Paypal/Ebay Seller Protection Policies, THINK AGAIN!!! Take a Good look at those Policies, Basically Ebay/Paypal Has the Ability to Deny a Claim for More Reasons than You Have Have hairs on your Ass.
And don't forget that Ebay/Paypal can Modify those policies AT WILL!!!
