Seller account with no credit card?
 

My friend just signed up for a ebay account and seller account and they didn't even ask him for a credit card at ALL. Not even for the sellers account. He is selling goods right now and they didnt even ask for a credit card or anything else. he does have a .net email address. i just thought tht was kind of weird.

I might have the answer but if I post it and ebay read it they might close the loophole if I'm right

Also it could be the country they're listing in. Most of the eBay's are different.

I have done a couple in the past and you must fill out Seller info .. I spent a 1/2 hour looking for a form or something ? but it only takes me to the section for catagories and allows me to start selling? So confused?

I did not do it as I am using Auctiva ..but I was looking to start selling and trying to find the place where they ask for CC and othr seller info?

Anyone also find this on new accounts??

Isn't that worse? I have no interest in submitting personal information to become id verified. I'm shocked that no one asked cpugeek the same questions I had.

If I'm not mistaken you still need a CC# to give them so they can verify you. They just won't charge it.

Hi, my first post. Very strange, i just listed first auction after opening an account and I did not have to go through step # 7 "7. Create a seller account with a new Credit Card and Bank Info" It let me list it without putting that down.

I want to open a new account today or tomorrow if possible and could use this information. Do you mind PM'ing me with the steps you were able to do this and whether it was a US based account? Thanks :)

I just used usa address, bought a virtual card at simon and worked, listed item without ebay asking me anything, im going to be opening another account tomorrow. and will update if its giving me same thing

Weird. You may have just gotten lucky somehow. If they let you set up another without anything just keep doing it until they start asking for a CC. You'll need those accounts in the future.

I set up a new account today at the library and it didnt ask me for any credit card info i could just post whatever and and put in my new email linked to the same paypal i was mad i wasted 20 bucks on a simon card:eek:
