how to get around 30 day selling limit?

i have a new account about a month old but im getting selling limits on auctions that weren't even won or had bids. is there a way i can call up ebay and have the selling limit released?

Sounds like Ebay wants to do a phone Verification and has Not been able to Call you, I would get in touch with them

i already confirmed my phone after the automated service called my phone when i started selling/listing my first auction and i also called in after a mc010. Would they leave a message? On a side note what is an id verify?

They need to call you, not you call them to satisfy an MC010, if a Human from Ebay Did not call and speak to you after you were issued the MC010 violation You will not be able to list. They DO NOT Always Leave messages or send E-Mails to let you know that they called, or tried to

When I first started out with eBay I had this problem and they raised my selling limits are I telephoned them, guess I was lucky or eBay was easier back then.

OK....I'm reading conflicting info on this MC010.

I just started using a stealth account that I bought from someone on here 5 months ago. I started using it Saturday, made about 5 sales, and it was hit with the MC010 on Sunday morning.

It says that I need to contact them. within 48 hours. - Which I was going to do today.

I read on here that they will ask you about 5 multiple choice questions. Since this Stealth account was sold to me, the phone number is not one I have access to. I was going to buy a Spoof Card and call ebay, spoofing my number with the one they have on file.

Are you guys saying that this will not work, and that they will have to call me on a number that I have on file with them on that stealth account?????

If so, would it be better to go buy a tracphone and set it up with an area code the same as the Stealth account and then change the phone contact info?

I just kinda want to do this right.

I did it with a spoof card and it work for me about a month ago.

hmmm this is good info...basically every new account you should expect the call for a mc010? Man i hate talking to them guys...damn

I don't think it is every single new account that gets hit with the MC010. All of the new accounts that I have created in the past few months have not got hit with the MC010. I personally think it has to do with how the account is created and what you try and list on it the first time.

MC010 is simply Verifing the account in some way, Ebay does it a Lot of different ways, Sometimes it is EXACTLY as you describe above VERY Simple, Sometimes it gets a Little more Complicated, like I described in my Earlier Post, Sometimes they do not do one at all in the begining, Sometimes they ask for a Copy of Like a Drivers Licence, only Ebay knows Exactly what type of Verification they want to do (if any) for a certain account, at a particular time. they might do it more than Once. The bottom line is that you have to Roll with it, and get past it, whatever it takes.

has anyone called ebay and asked them to lift the limits successfully? or do i just have to wait out 30 the day period? I read on some previous post that it was either paypal or ebay that automatically sets certain limits depending on your prior sales and etc.

hmmm id say GB knows the answer waiting for someone else to give it. basically i know not to sell too much first 30 days to not get whacked with a limit, mc010, or whatever they feel the need for. That said i've been called on one of my first listings cuz im dumb. please inform us...pm is ok too.

30 day? Try 90 days you will have the 10 item a month limit and every new acct I have purchased here has gotten hit with the MC010 FIRST TIME I tried to list.
