My life with ebay

I first started ebay in 2001 to buy confederate flags memorabilia for my home and neighbors and what not, then I moved to more selling p90x dvd sets with multiple accounts making at least 15k gross together and a good profit from out of it, until every one jumped on the band wagon and lawyers and law suits got involved, I used to list in my public library so the lawyers would never could catch me.

I work for this law firm so I had access to foreclosed homes. I was truly the #1 p90x seller before I stopped and I knew those house got multiple lawsuits sent to them since I sold so much, but they never how I was. I eventually just got a full time job and I am going to stick with it because the stress is a lot a less. so I stopped ebay for good! I am done! I just wanted to post this. :peace:

Good for you but if your making all that extra money why not continue but lower the quantity your selling.

The P90X is a hugely popular item. It is also one of the most aggressively protected items. People selling this commonly get into trouble when an undercover buyer working for the rights owner purchases a set and determines it is counterfeit. Then they get a certified letter in the mail from Johnson & Pham, a law firm representing the rights owner threatening a lawsuit unless a certain amount of money is paid, and agreements to stop selling their merchandise is signed.

Then, we see the post on the forum "OMG HELP ME! LAW FIRM TRYING TO RUIN MY LIFE!"

Selling counterfeit merchandise is a bad idea.

Selling the P90X is a REALLY BAD idea.

Don't get me wrong, I don't judge people, and I really don't care what anyone sells. But I hate seeing newbies get into trouble because they think they found an easy way to make money and dive right in with no thought to the consequences.

Stealth only goes so far. At some point, money has to enter your bank account. Stealth can make you invisible to eBay/PayPal, but it WILL NOT make you invisible to a subpoena or to law enforcement.

we should make a list of "undercover buyers".

I'm not into selling these items, but it wouldn't be a bad idea

Undercover buyers are fairly easy to spot. Only buying a lot of a certain product, buying multiples of same item most people only need one of, buying from major "lawyer" city(like LA, Chicago, Miami, or NY) or city were your IP holder is based, or buyers from very close to your area.
