Anyone ever call eBay to have the selling limt increaed?
There is an option to call eBay to h ave your selling limit increased by answering a few questions over the phone (so they say). Has anyone successfully done this with a stealth account? Would one be asking for trouble to attempt to lift there selling limits in this manner? Especially since most of us are using stealth accounts.

several people have done it and said they answer everything as none of the above and they have gotten through ok.Some said they did that and they wanted stuff faxed so it seems like it could go either way.Id rather just not have them look at it and make multiple accts
so is it an automated system or a live person? would i be safe to call using a vumber or payphone or something? Lets say they ask you to fax over some extra crap to raise the limits and you decide not to bother will they shut your account down or just force you to bypass the limits the long and hard way?
the only time i tried it was through the online part where it gives you the option to answer the questions, when i tried i answered none of the above to everything and it asked me to call in so i left it alone.
from the posts ive read some have done the verifcation part on the site and gotten through ok but it seems like most have done it by phone.you can star 67 them when you call, they cant see through a private to your real number.I think theres a good chance they will keep an eye on you if you dont fax stuff if they were to ask.
If you make a bunch of accounts and get through the first 3-4 mnths and get feedbacks then you should get through unscaved and be able to sell more
i had an agressive bill collector stalk me for a bill that was later proven to not be mine. any how i called them with *67 and some how they were still able to see my real number. I am sure eBay would have a similar set up. i know it sounds like BS but *67 does not really protect you from mega corps with big fancy phone systems.
ive always called from a number link to suspended accounts with star 67 never had any issues.you can buy a prepaid verizon from walmart for 15 dollars and it has 10 dollars on it
actually, all of them could be nails in the coffin
Bills are easy to mess up, so are ID"s and numbers, birthdays, invoices could have unforseen errors... the person reviewing the account might just think you're ugly and throw it regardless
My basic rule is, don't contact eBay. If you have selling limits, sell within them. It'll be better for the account to sell 10 per account for 3 months and then be good to go, than sell 100 in the 1st month and be on eBay's radar and have an eBay employee review the account manually.
what ever stealth name a birthdate you use do a people search and you will find someone with that name and bday. Now when you do the questions online you will answer with the info they have like town you use to live in and relatives.
In Oct. I called them, real person answered. Then this account, and another account ( I guess they may be linked) were suspened in a few mins.
In Nov. I contacted them thru customer server, then raise one account limits to 1500 items.
I have called into ebay and had my selling limit raised before. it wont get totally removed, but they will raise it up for you. they will ask how many items you are trying to sell and how much. I said I am trying to add items to my ebay store that I am selling on another site, I asked for 300 items at 200 to 300 dollars each. they raised it. College students seem to be answering that line.
