Default How often do you get scammed?

How often do you get the scam from a buyer? You send package and buyer files SNAD or say they never got it even when they signed for it?

How often do this happen from 1-10?

This happens 1-2 times a year for me, so rarely. They usually state that they never received the package when the tracking number clearly states that they received it, so when i show them proof they either never respond, or say "I'm sorry about that blahblah grabbed the package for me when i wasn't home". Maybe their being honest, maybe not, or maybe they just want a refund + free product, or maybe an extra copy of whatever it is you're selling just to be greedy.

Sometimes I am scared because buyer scams a lot. They can create stealths and scam with SNADs. Tons of free products at the click of the button.

There was a try recently to scam me for couple of hundred. Buyer filed dispute even though tracking showed delivered.

He/she lived within 120 km radius so ha made it a saturday drive. Showed up and said wtf's going on? What a dumba$$ - he removed his dispute while i was there. Good times.

So you just showed up at his house? That is a pretty bold move but at least it turned out good for you.

I dont recommend going to anyone's house. [But I would have done the same]

But it does show just how stupid the average joe online thief is. 120 kms? Are they completely daft to try it on a seller that close? An hour away.... And that's the crappy part when this happens. Its not always a full on scammer. Its often just some idiot that thinks its different [and ok] for some reason to steal from someone on the internet...

I have never been scammed by a pro. But I have been burned by "normal" people more then once. Sadly none of them were an hour away...

dont ever be too scared to say hang on a minute......why do you think you can just keep my goods and get a refund also.......if they are pro they will keep and get a refund anyway, maybe do ya a nice bit of feedback and their gone....but maybe they will see the light and either send your item back and get the refund or just keep it ya never hear from them again,as i said he who dares wins,
but i suppose it depends on how big a loss it would be too you,is it worth a bad feedback,if not best to leave it and move on...........

If you get hit by a pro you are pretty beat. They know what they are doing and are gone...

But if its just some jack ass trying to bend the system, easy peasy. People are idiots and have half their life on the internet. Facebook, family sites, work sites, etc. You are already half way home as you have all their info.

If it comes down to it [as a last resort] and its a big enough value, send his family, friends and co workers info on what he has done.... I've done that a handful of times and always get my money. Start slow with a few warning shots so they know what you can, and will do. IE: email them a list of co workers emails, family emails and friends on facebook and a copy of what you will send. That little gem has recovered me $1000s over the years

People will pull this crap because they think the internet makes them invisible. It does not.

I sell a lot of low value items, so I get the odd idiot claiming the haven't received it. Probably 2 in every 150 (which is quite bad), but I just put it down to a loss and move on.
