| | | veriluxxx | 12-05-2010 11:46 PM | What to do now? Selling limit reached, call? i just got a notice from Ebay and it states I have reached the limit of 100 items or 5k in sales and they say wait or call for discuss limits. Has anyone called them up to see what they have to say? what should i do wait it out or talk to them and say something that works? help is much appreciated thanks |
| holyhell | 12-06-2010 12:59 AM | Just wait and work on another account. You're already drawing too much attention to yourself by doing that much business in a month. |
| MadSam | 12-06-2010 01:14 AM | Many people have reported after they talk to eBay and discuss how much they plan on selling they can raise your limits. |
| jerry | 12-06-2010 02:05 AM | Madsam, do you know what questions they ask you when you call? |
| eternity4u | 12-06-2010 03:18 AM | Well in my experince i called over 2 months ago to raise limits. I got suspended. Recently one of my accounts has reached the limit and was asked to call ebay. I ignore it and moved to another accont. I am going to let it sit for awhile and work on my other account.
In my advice ebay just looks at your account more if it stealth account. |
| inthezone | 12-06-2010 09:24 AM | I'd rather wait it out so that the account does not get more attention. |
| lagoonclub | 12-06-2010 09:45 AM | The selling limit is killing me. Thinking about calling in for one of my stealths, expecting to get suspended and just paying for the docs to verify ID and lift. Too much $ not being made around the holidays with these limits. |
| imjustme | 12-06-2010 11:16 AM | And what if they don't lift it with the docs sent in? Or they take 4 weeks to respond and process it? It'll be more work and you'll have to start from scratch all over. If you have 100 items to sell, use 10 stealth accounts and sell 10 items each. |
Much better to spread out over accounts and let the limits expand as feedback comes in. Calling eBay at this point is almost asking to be verified... |
| lagoonclub | 12-06-2010 12:04 PM | Well, I def have a decision to make. I do have 10 stealths, but they have all reached $500 and I'm just itching for more. |
| macebay | 12-06-2010 10:02 PM | Don't call them. High risk. Will be suspended if they find linked to old account. |
| jerry | 12-07-2010 07:33 AM | So does anybody know what questions they ask? |
| imjustme | 12-07-2010 08:45 AM | If you want my advice, don't call.
Make more accounts if you need. But calling eBay will have a representative look at your account and potentially find things that you missed and that will get your account linked and suspended. Not just that account, but possibly all others that they can link or trace to it. You don't need to take my advice, of course. |
| Sandy D | 12-07-2010 07:09 PM | I would not risk a good account for this by calling them.
8 out of 10 times you will get a limit by calling them on things like this asking to change the rules for you.
If your product is that good then it will do just as good on another good account or two. |
| First Edition | 12-07-2010 11:38 PM | DO NOT CALL THEM
The fact is, you have a rock solid account. You could end up with 10 rock solid accounts if you follow stealth. If you push it, and don't be smart, you'll end up with 0 accounts. |
| newtools | 12-08-2010 12:01 AM | I agree not to call them, because they will want ti verify your infos from a national databases. The questions they ask are based on public records. Addresses, past addresses in a multiple choice question.
where your auto loan is from, mortgage infos, past phone numbers.
Most cannot verify infos like this on a stealth acct.
It's best to spread out your sales on as many accts as you can handle.
$500 or 10 items x 10, or x20
after the first month and some feedback they will raise your limits like amazon. |
| shogun1 | 12-08-2010 12:17 PM | i tried twice,both times i answered none of the above,both times they said i had to fax id
some have had success but i lost both accts so i let mine sit now |
| lagoonclub | 12-08-2010 12:18 PM | Thanks for the info guys, just gonna let mine sit for now. Seems eBay has been limiting WAY more accounts this week. |
| holymoly | 12-08-2010 03:20 PM | It's always best to just get new accounts made...the docs are great but sometimes hit n miss because of the timing with PP processing everything. |

Also, I found that they are less quick to suspend your account because everyone is now pigeon-holed into these new limits. I think eBay feels that they have a tighter reign on what we are doing. Multiple accounts it the way to go. However, switching between them is time-consuming and annoying. I would love a way to automate the whole process. |
There is no way to automate it, if you have say 10 accounts just login to 5 one day and 5 the next. |
| First Edition | 10-13-2011 08:42 AM | On some days I login to about 50. Always at least 20 or so.... maybe takes a few hours?
Not including Amazon... |
| sutab10 | 10-13-2011 09:02 AM | First Edition, do you have 50 different user account on your windows. I only have about 8 and it slows my system down I don't know how people have so much. |
| First Edition | 10-13-2011 12:34 PM | I have one user account on one computer I use to access ebay and paypal accounts. |
| sutab10 | 10-13-2011 04:42 PM | Having read the eBay Stealth book I find that having all your ebay accounts on one user account will have all linked |

read it again | Book has been read a couple of times and most of the things are stuck in my head, if you want all your accounts on 1 user name then you will have to remove cookies each time you use the other account, doing this is not recommended as eBay will be wondering why you are always removing your cookies. |
| stanislav | 10-27-2011 06:10 PM | Ladies and gentleman I have a question for you.
How many feedbacks will I need in order for eBay to raise my selling limits automatically. Is there a guideline?
Thank you! |
| stanislav | 10-27-2011 06:11 PM | Currently my account has 100/5000. It's more than 4 month old but I only begun selling this month. It has 3 feedbacks btw. |

Thank you! | Limit can be raised after 90 days of selling on ebay. You need to call and talk to them and they will review you account and see if you are eligible. You can then raise you limit every 30 days. I have answered this question 1000 fcking times. Search |
| stanislav | 10-27-2011 07:24 PM | |
| First Edition | 10-28-2011 07:57 AM | you can, but there is no reason because eventually you will be stopped by tax reporting requirements
you need to spread the sales out, make more than one account to sell on |

If your product is that good then it will do just as good on another good account or two. | I would take that risk considering its not a big deal at all to give them a phone call. Just make sure the number youre using to place the call isnt linked to another account.
All eBay is going to ask you is how comfortable youve been selling in the past. What you plan to sell on the future. And what kind of limit increase youre looking for. All while taking a look at your previous sales and feedback. Its extremely easy. Funny, my accounts are just the opposite. Low items and high balance limits. |
| boszika | 10-28-2011 11:42 AM | @Stanislav, I have over 140 feedbacks and still 5K,next month bronze seller. I dont think I'm moving anywhere from this limit but it is fine with me. |

| First Edition | 10-28-2011 08:05 PM | 5k a month, you will exceed the tax reporting requirements... unless you have a plan to get around it, you're need to stay under 1600 a month. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 07:09 PM. | |
