Hey everybody. Question about listing. As I have posted before about me buying those gift cards. Well now I have a grip and some bills are coming up that I would like to pay with my eBay businesses. So I want to list some of these gift cards on eBay. But I want to start from a fresh brand new eBay. So I can list these a used, because they are. I will make sure to put the value thats left on each card in my title of listing. Because for instance I have 4 $50 cards that I just spent under a dollar on each just to make sure they work. But on a new eBay account how should I list these? You can only have one gift card up a day I think. That will be fine with me.
Heres my question to break it down. If I use a brand spankin new eBay that I just open. List this gift card as a bid. Will eBay lock my account up right away and not let me list??

I doubt it, as long you're following ebay's gift card policy there shouldn't be a problem, I've sold itunes cards on new accounts without any issues but of course you want to make sure the accounts ready to sell first by maybe building up some feedback, browsing and so forth...
Gift cards are considered a high risk category by Ebay. If you try listing to many of them in too short a span of time that can lead to problems for you.
Yeah I am fine with that one sale. I just didnt want to list one and the account being closed because its a new account. I would like to put one up, sell it then list another.
Same principles of building account viability are in effect - go slow, build feedback, etc.
Thats what I am looking for. How slow should I go. I mean I can only list one at a time. And since its on a bid, I have to wait for it to end before I list another. So just how slow is slow? Thanks for the info btw
Yep, ONE LISTING per account and no gift card combos/solos over 500 dollar limit
Yup thats what I saw. But once it ends, is it okay to list another one. I see all this info about going slow. But I dont know how slow to go? Its not like I am generating hundreds a week. These are 50 dollar gift cards. I could prob get 2 listings up a week if that
Sell one, deliver, get feedback then proceed on to another - get that feedback before you just list. Slow start would be max of 2-3 a week - all depends on how new your account is.
These would be on a brand spankin new eBay. Bills are due thats why I asked this question. What if I got a month old account and got out of eBays redzone would I be okay then? Not to list a grip just once one sells I list another before feedback?
Theres really a luck factor involved not everyones situation will be the same but you shouldn't have much problem but I've always avoided selling gift cards on ebay you can always get a scammer who says he never got anything or the gift card was empty, etc... and files a claim and you pretty much get screwed. But I mean if you need the money then you gotta do what you gotta do
