Didn't read any of the responses above but, I thought about this too, well I don't work at an office anymore but, I imagined if I could open eBay accounts at a work setting exactly like you described. After contemplating about it, it just seems like a bad idea. I would say making one account is safe, but five?

I'm pretty sure they track every single IP address and cookies associated with the computer you're making the accounts on no? I would think that all five would get suspended right away for suspicious activity. I'm almost certain making one stealth account wouldn't be a problem though.

As jbuntz said, the best thing in his situation is to tether his phone to his laptop, thus enabling a fresh IP everytime, and to clean flash and cookies each time he creates an account.
