Activity: 0% Longevity: 91% | | Creating Seller Accounts from Work
Well, I am wondering about creating ebay accounts at work on my work laptop on my company's network. I get some down time every once in awhile and it would be nice to be able to make a few ebay accounts, but there's 2 problems.
1) Work Network has a Static IP, so I cant change my ip address.
2) I can't make multiple user accounts due to the administrative lock that's on the network. (...but maybe I can just clear cookies?)
Will this hurt me if I say created say 5 accounts under the same ip address on the same laptop on the work network. Then, I come home and create the separate 5 user accounts and change ip address as I normally do before I actually turn them into seller accounts and start selling.
Will those 5 accounts be linked?

The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

Ebay stores everything in their system so if you initially create 5 accounts all under same ip and then go home and do stealth correctly it would still be linked cause from the creation date all accounts were linked.

<Sigh> I wish there was a way I could create accounts here at work. I never have time to make them once I get home. I could probably make them on my lunch break at McDonalds or something.

Do you have an iPhone? If you do, maybe you can take your laptop to work and tether to your phone to make them?

Hey there aKing,
I actually created 4 accounts at work - Static IP but, sadly, I can bet they are linked so as long as they don't get axed, I should be ok. I am currently using 2 actively without problems for what they're worth.

Yea I have an iPhone and iPad. I know I can get a different ip with the iPhone everytime, but then there's still the problem with user accounts. Is there a way to clear flash cookies on an iPhone or a way to have user accounts?

No you don't need a tethering plan. I've posted this several times but in case you missed it. I use MyWi to tether my iPhone, I use a cracked version of the program, and I do not pay for tethering. Search it on google.

I don't have a plan, I use pay as you go, i'm always moving around from country to country. International data roaming would screw me, looks like i'll have to stick to VPS, shame.

you can still do it on pay as you go if you plan has Internet access, your phone must be a 3g phone.

Ok if you can bear with my ignorance for a moment, clearing all the flash and cookies - won't it still not make a completely unlinked account if the WiFi is a Static IP like aking had said?
Or am I missing a concept...

Yeah but the tethering would be to a static IP WiFi network so...? Sorry for my ignorant but I am also looking at my p.o.s. phone too and not understanding.
Edit: Oh wait - you use wifi with the iphone and the iphone is your "cell modem" - I get it - early posts about getting dynamic IP from your iPhone...I follow ha the reverse link =)

When you tether a smart phone to your computer w/ a usb cable, you're using it as a usb modem, the connection comes from the phone and is dynamic changes every time you log in like dial-up.

Yes, with an iphone, all you have to do is switch to airplane mode for a few seconds, then switch back to 3G and you have a new ip address.
Yea I only have the Wifi iPad. I need to get someone to Jailbreak my iphone 4 so I can get that MyFi app and use my iphones 3G on my ipad.
