In Paypal you can have up to 5 email accounts. If you attach a secondary email to your paypal, when you set up the 2nd ebay do you put in the second email address as the paypal address or do you have to put in your initial paypal address in order to create the seller account?

you can do it either way. I use to run two on the same paypal. but honestly I'd setup 5 ebay and 5 paypal accounts. If one goes down you still got 4 more running. They way you want to do it if one gets suspended you'll end up losing all 5 accounts.
^^^guru is correct. Doing ebay/paypal on a one to one is safer.

I thought if you did not link them then you could stay hidden and if something happened to one then the other could stay hidden. I just don't want to open a ton of checking accounts everywhere.
nah you use to be able to do that. like my first paypal account I ran 6 or more accounts off of it over the years without any linking. but that was before ebay and paypal shared info. so now once an ebay account goes down that paypal is worthless as far as ebay goes. Also if your paypal gets limited all 5 ebay accounts will suffer. You pretty much stand to lose either way you look at it.
All of my difficulties with paypal accounts getting restricted are from when I withdraw money. Multiple ebay accounts going to one paypal is going to increase the volume you are putting through that account, therefore putting you on paypals radar quick. Just my two cents on it. Best bet is to spread it across as many accounts as you can muster as low volume equals low attention.
