Default Story/Question: Ebay Receipts to Keep Selling

I have one ebay account for 3-4 years, kept selling iTunes gift cards (real ones) for $50 each one. Each listing with one unit. After about 12 and $600 in sales, over the span of 6 weeks, Ebay/PP hit me with the "verify yourself and show receipts to prove" email. . . I showed them the necessary paperwork because the were legit anyways.

My question is, how much of an item can you expect to sell (not super expensive item, but mid-range) before EBay requires to you show paperwork and receipts from a supplier? For example if you sell books that sell for $20 each , then how many can you sell of the same item...?
Thanks in advance for answers.

If I were to sell some generic cell phone accessory at $10 each and I list it as Buy it Now with 100 pc. quantity, will I eventually have to submit wholesale invoices after I've sold many of them? Or is this just for High Risk items?

The answer is possibly - not just for high risk items. All the best.
