Default MC019 for item ended 90 days ago!

Today I have received a MC019 takedown for an item listed in november (and ended after its original duration around that time)! It was not a VeRO violation notification, but a generic one (someone must have reported me and the e B a y stuff might have not checked the listing until today). The strange thing is that since I have been not aware of this until today, I kept re-listing that item over and over, yet only that november listing was removed.

So in conclusion you can have a great standing account, clean of violations, without a single listing currently running, and suddenly boom, because of very old listings reported but being checked only now, that sleeper account goes down even if it's current activity is none.

We have to be careful not only about current, but also about past listings (which cannot be revised - so nothing we can really do about them, though).

e B a y is a scrary place indeed.

Exactly - eb ay can pull old listings and hold you in a rough spot. This has been proven.

Let the account cool - move to diff account. 3rd takedown and no suspension? Stop your activity - in all likelihood, you will be suspended in a bit - no sense wasting time right now.

I know, and that's out of question, but that's the thing: the account has had no activity for two weeks now! I don't understand why they are ending items which ended by themselves in november!

There have been no items listed for two weeks now, but yet I have received only now two takedowns from november listings (one takedown of two items + another takedown for one), plus one takedown from january. The bad thing is that such item kept being relisted since november until february.

I can only wait. There is nothing I can do now. I hope they do not "end" anything else from my already ended auctions.

Could someone please explain me why are these items, ended 90 days ago, are being taken down now? I have tried to figure it out in a previous post but I am not convinced of my theory. Please shed me some light. Thanks!

I fear to death that the same items, but listed after these have originally ended, get taken down. I wish there was a way to edit unsold ended item listings.

it isnt ebay per se, its the person reporting you, looking at completed listings or saved your details and only reporting now, or it took an unusually long time to process by ebay...

90 days is harsh and Ive not heard of that before. The buyer will have received goods and probably used them, and then they get this email that worries them or prompts a complaint, unethical, should be prompt takedown or nothing IMO, 90 days is a joke,

Thanks for responding! Well, there is no buyer because the items didn't sell. Secondly, it's impossible to seach completed listings older than 15 days. Three 99.99% identical items were taken down in two different kind of takedowns (one Copyright and one Trademark). My guess is that these were reported back in november and e B a y is taking action now, because I don't see any use in e B a y surfing my old listings. What's the use? I hope that whoever reported me, did not report my later listings of the same product and that e B a y leaves me alone now. It's a five years old account with 1500+ feedback! This is no fun.
