If in eBay were this nice...

Today I had seven items removed from Bonanza. Wait... removed? Actually not.

Their customer service sent me a kind note telling me that the items were infringing copyright and they had disabled them (ie. removed from their search + leaving the buyers unable to purchase them), suggesting me that I should contact the rights owner or simply delete them by myself.

How hard is for eBay to implement this? It's a win-win-win situation: they do not lose a customer (seller), the right owner won't be affected because the item is not available to the buyers anymore, and we can keep doing our business.

This would be really great, specially when on eBay we are NOT told that we are infringing trademark until the item gets removed and in some cases, causing the account suspension (on a sidenote: the list of VeRO members that appear on eBay site has not been updated probably in 8 years and represents 0.01% of the actual VeRO members). We have no way to know if our item is infringing rights beforehand. We are at luck's mercy. Still, they punish us for something that we only learn once that we are punished.

eBay simply does not give their sellers a chance to fix a problem, they give us a clap on the face, like if we humans were not allowed to commit mistakes.

That is nice and polite. On Ecr ater, they give you no notice or warning. All your listings just become unsearchable. Never bothered trying to reinstate the account. Some Ve ro owners are so overzealous, they even scope out those insignificant Egay alternatives and even Cra ig's List. I've even had my own personal genuine used items removed by those overzealous idiots.

you really think that they are on craigslist doing the same shyt?

Anyone can flag you on CraigsList...that is so easy. That doesn't have anything to do with Ve Ro.

good point, As a matter of fact, EB still has the listings but only visible to them and not us.
I called to speak with them about my removed listings once (no biggie just vintage swimsuit, cose apparently you're not allowed to sell them...)
the nice man on the online chat thing were able to pull them all up and talked me through them. But of course they dont keep all that info for us and relisting is a beattch :S
