How about posting some links to what you have recently read? |
| GofortheGold | 04-25-2011 12:56 AM | I've just been searching around the internet; most of the raids came from repeated confiscations leading to searches for replica goods.
From my knowledge, a great deal of dropshipping is for the replica trade; do these sellers get hit? |
| biggunn | 04-25-2011 01:09 AM | I've read articles like this too... It's mainly people selling replicas and making well over $100,000/year in profits. Can't be greedy.. |
| GreenBean | 04-25-2011 01:10 AM | Links or it might look like a roundabout way of seeing if it's OK to do vErO :peace:
quote newspapers or whatever. make sure it's within the past 6 months to be effective :pop2: |
| productpast | 04-25-2011 02:06 AM | I sold some expensive headphone's recently that i picked up at a thrift store. They guy emailed me to say he purchased back his stolen inventory. I said where i got them and never heard back from him.

I think he was just a paranoid buyer.. OBVIOUSLY it wasnt his actual headphones...what a thorn...... |
| productpast | 04-25-2011 02:16 AM | No, these were pretty rare. it was just weird, his wife made the purchase, unpaid item case, neutral feedback. I think he just doesnt have the time to give that much of a **** and he's just happy to get his stuff back. He probably charged the renter for the headphones twice what he bought them back for. |
| Imback2010 | 04-25-2011 02:19 AM | Oh ok I see.
thanks for making it clearer:doh:
sorry :( |
| Shellshocker | 04-25-2011 11:47 AM | I'd be doubtful that someone who isn't making masses in unexplained profit, e.g. driving a Ferrari and claiming the dole, would get raided by the police. |
| WasTopRatedThenBanned | 04-25-2011 08:32 PM | Some people are stupid. Duh diversify. |

That is just 1 Senario,,off the Top of my Head, and it is NOT That far Fetched,,Can you imagine how many more such senarios exist? |
| jeffweico | 04-25-2011 09:57 PM | The bottom line here is this:
If you sell counterfeits, replicas, China OEM Versions, or whatever you want to call it, you are taking a risk. There is no such thing as a SAFE way to sell such items.
As Slapped pointed out, size does not always matter. If they can prove that you sold even ONE counterfeit item - KNOWINGLY - then there will be consequences. |
| productpast | 04-26-2011 12:13 AM | I saw a new program where people were stealing **** from T arget and selling it. Targe t then started buying the products that were going missing " s p ranos Dv D'S" and tracing them back to the seller! |
Yet more reasons to avoid using home address - while I do not condone fraud or illegal activity. |
| WasTopRatedThenBanned | 04-27-2011 01:29 AM | Maybe off topic:
Being the counterfeit items on a popular china website,
why havn't the feds take control of the domain much like they did with
the poker sites. |

Also, the feds might be able to block such sites, but I don't see how they can confiscate something from someone in another country. |
| aking | 04-27-2011 08:44 AM | Owebsite that I used to order from quite often just got seized recently. Their website now has some scanned court order. |
| Red X | 04-27-2011 09:34 AM | I would like to see some of these articles, looks interesting, if you have them, please post them. |
