Default Raising Limits On Ebay

Okay so I have a one month old ebay seller account with all legit information.

I want to click on the "Request Higher Limit" link and answer the questions but I don't want to go in there without knowing what I'm going to be asked.

Is there anybody who has gone through the questions?

Also do they ask for Driver's License and Utility Bills to raise the limits?

I have the driver's license with another address that was not provided to ebay and I don't have a utility bill.
So how can I go about getting the right info to satisfy ebay on these two documents?

If I provide ebay with altered docs do they check to make sure everything matches with the real docs?

Any help with these questions would be highly appreciated.

Thank you!

If it's your legit account they will pull about 4 to 5 questions from public records.

If you can answer them correct you will get 100 items or 5000$ a month limit.

I believe you can just answer "none of the above" for all the questions and it'll work too

their will ask for your DL and Utility bill when your name can't be found in the public records,But if you make any purchase or request credit in some place etc etc, with your real name and SS # i guarntee their have records of you.

If you have all the info there legit,is nothing to worrie about, all questions their will ask you should know because id pulled from public records.

Good luck

That has not worked for me:(

The question usually deal with real estate and public records.
they will vary, but some of the most often asked multiple questions are:

Which city have you lived?
How many bedrooms/bathrooms does your home address have?
Does your home have a pool/fireplace?
What year did you buy your house?
Who did you buy your home from?
What major intersection/park/school is your house near?
Have you ever owned property at?
Which name is associate with your home address?

Hardest ones for me until I out smarted them.
Which vehicle have you owned?
Or what license plate has been register to you?

Don't forgot, if the questions are to hard, you can let the quiz timeout by taking to long to submit and you will get 4 new ones. Usually around 4-5 minutes until timeout. Don't know if you have to get more right on the second set though, so your best bet is to research the hell out of the name and address you use and try to pass the first time.

It is not all those question usually just 4 of them. If you fail you get a message they could not confirm your info and to call if you would like to raise limit. I have failed plenty, but account seem ok after.

the way I got over this is NOT to request higher limits. i haven't been around here in a while, but unless something changed at ebay, i think it's better they lift the limits. imo, less contact with ebay the better. go slow.

I have taken about 6 of them and only passed one. Think you pretty much have to get all of them correct. You also have to use a name and address that actually exists, so they can gather the info from public records.

Newest question:
What color is the Dodge Darango registered to you?

Seem like there are questions about your vehicles, one about your house and one about any name, address and phone numbers every associated with you.

Okay I have a UPS box address on file with them so I guess there's no way they would be able to pull up any information for that address.

Any other way to raise the limit?

Maybe calling them?

I did the call in and passed.... However its still not a guarantee that the limit will go 100/5000. Yes you are correct that its usually something to do with property.... Easy to look up.... Previous address or zip code....

Does anyone know what system ebay uses to check public records? That would be golden... As you can create stealth accounts based on the public profile...

Congrats on passing the phone test. I think they give you a little more leeway with the phone in. I hate the phone, always have. Then I get so angry, I start to yell and it always ends bad.
They definably pull info from zillow and property appraisers office for your property records.
Then they do address and phone number search.
Finally, the tricky one is they must be accessing some kind of DMV database for your car info. There is a way around it though, but I can't share because of ebay spies.

Today all of the sudden they limited me to 100 items or 5000$ limit! WTF! I can't afford selling for 5000 dollars a month. I need them to raise it for at least 10k-15k. Anyone knows how to raise it from 100 or 5k a month to a higher amount ?

Only way I know is to call or chat. If they limited you DOWNWARDS then your account is already in a flag in my opinion. I would just spread sales but again, I guess it depends on what you are selling - what is it?

Rsot are you asking me or OP? If you are asking me then obviously you don't really expect me to reveal what I am selling in public. Also each product I sell is between 400-500$.

They are going to ask public record questions. OMG i was SOOOOOO scared when i was being asked them. one time i had to do it over the computer which was easy because the answers were right there and i answered all of them correctly. But another time i had to call and they just ask you the question and do not give you 5 minutes to answer and no answer choices for that matter.

If you cant do it online DO NOT do it. After i got the questions wrong they suspended me until i confirmed my identity.
