Making Country Flag Compulsive On Sign Up

I don't profess to speak for the majority here, but on answering a question to a "New" member, it irritates me that i do not know whether i have to refer them to US-UK-AU related issues.

Would it not be feasable to make Country of origin a compulsary field?>

I wondered if maybe the first post AFTER the probation should be a
plan of their actions to re-make an ebay account. They will have to read
and work out facts. Maybe an ebay sell again tutorial? lol. (very
tongue in cheek,here).
