I have had no problem contacting eBay via email.
I just log into an email attached to an old stealth account, and find an email thread between eBay and myself. I copy and paste the address to my new email .. and fire away .. and they have been receiving and responding to these emails.

Did you guys find the Chat system. Its harder to get to now but still there like always.

going on the first few posts on this thread
when i deal with a pain in the ar5e customer,i start of the reply like well if you dont like it blah blah blah kind of attitude....
but then i,as i always do,double/triple check what i wrote,then i see how i sound
then i edit it to make it sound more nice customer server`ish
another point is,you can sound offensive without using profane language,so even though you did not actually swear as it goes,you may off offended the buyer in some way and they reported you for it

I found chat with feedback of less than 20 and its only for listing items. I tried asking about account questions and they said sorry can't help you. If you got tons of feedback more than 500 then more chat options are available. Everything else is now phone.

But, have been trying to use EB chat on multiple accounts with lower feedback and pegging them with solid questions each time. They do not hesitate to tell me they are useless in helping me and that I need to use a phone.
All they will offer is help with extremely basic questions which can already be found on their website anyways.

Who Cares anyway,,,EVERY Awnser that I ever got from whoever was on the other side of that chat was TOTAL B%LLS^IT anyway,,,Its not like they were bending over backwards to Help you straighten out issues your accounts,,,
The ONLY thing that those People were Skilled at was Evading Direct questions

Yeah Really. I just used it again today but for a glitch on a listing page. thats all they are good for.
I wonder if its easier for powersellers or something too. Not sure. Just trying to figure out why some dont get the chat as easy or at all.

Getting the live chat depends on what kind of question you are asking. If you are determined to get live chat, try a different type of question to see if it will give you the prompt.

ebay has totally abandoned customer service. Ok if your website is the largest conduit in the world for trade, how come the government doesn't step in and regulate these people and why are there no law suits against ebay to provide live US customer service??? where are the lawyers???
