| | | TurtleCove | 08-09-2011 01:46 AM | Limits higher than 100, easy or hard? So my ste alth account is going good.
I when thru the online questionaire, and got my limits raised to 100.
Well, I get 100 items posted within the first week of the month, and still have lots of inventory to list. All my stuff is legit, hand made stuff. I'm simply one of those people that got dumped because of poor shipping habits, which I've now fixed.
To get higher than 100, requires a phone in....is that correct?
Is eb ay hard-nosed about raising above 100, or is it typically granted? |
| unkown5454 | 08-09-2011 02:46 AM | Typically granted if you are legit.
I've never had an issue when all of my information on the accounts were real and the invoices were real and of course receiving lots of positive feedback.
It's seriously nothing to be afraid of if you have nothing to hide. |
| TurtleCove | 08-09-2011 04:23 PM | Huh? If we had nothing to hide, we wouldn't be on this forum. |

Don't be naive... eBay and PP will slander innocent people and they have and will continue doing so
PS: what were the online questionaire btw? |

| JRYAN34 | 08-09-2011 07:38 PM | If you research for a little bit, I have clearly covered this about 100 times. |
| TurtleCove | 08-09-2011 09:49 PM | My info is fully legit...except it's not mine.
I'm using a friends. |
| yellow0102 | 08-09-2011 11:26 PM | Give it a try :thumb: |
| JRYAN34 | 08-09-2011 11:40 PM | i have answered this 104 times this weeks |
| mercurial333 | 08-10-2011 01:26 AM | I think unless you hit your limit, they will not increase them.
Agent just told me the other day, they don't remove category limits before 90 days. |

by Saijin - you should reply TurtleCove =) |
| TurtleCove | 08-10-2011 03:37 PM | The online questionaire offered me choices for:
What street did my family own property on
What street did my mom grow up on
and the third question asked about a previous employer, of which my answer was "none".
I have indeed been hitting the 100 limit, and as you can see, it's only the 8th of the month. So, that leaves me with over 20 days now that I cannot list anything new.
Mercurial333, that limit I have of 100 might not be a "category" limit. That may simply be an eBay limit imposed to all categories, when lifted after answering their questionaire. |

I'm using a friends. | Does he know? |
| TurtleCove | 08-10-2011 11:15 PM | What bearing does that have on my original question, SweetPea? |

Say your account gets banned and you have an outstanding balance or something your friend might feel strange about getting collection notices and phone calls sent to him or her. They may think its identity theft. Under no circumstances should you use a social either. |
| TurtleCove | 08-10-2011 11:58 PM | And again, what does this line of concern have to do with my original question of raising my limits above 100, and whether or not eBay easily performs this raise?
I think you and SweetPea, need to read my first post/question. |
| SweetPea | 08-11-2011 12:22 AM | Just showing concern for you. I don't want to see anyone make mistakes and get in trouble. Someone else on a post the other day said they used the information of a real person without them knowing. There was a lot of concern from members on this post. The person didn't realize what he'd gotten himself into. We are all here because we are trying to find a way back on Ebay and hopefully give each other advice how to do it safely! |
| TurtleCove | 08-11-2011 12:30 AM | There's probably hundreds of pieces of advice you can give me, regarding ways of getting back on eBay safely.
If there's a concern about me using a friends legit info, then I'll start a new thread in that regard.
So, again, this thread has nothing to do with that.
I don't think I've ever had to work this hard, to keep a thread on topic before ! WOW. |
| SweetPea | 08-11-2011 12:46 AM | Well as Unkown5454 said, if you have nothing to hide make the call..This has been discussed in great detail on various threads. It has also been mentioned that you should take it SLOW...you are pushing in the wrong direction :pop2: |
| SweetPea | 08-11-2011 12:56 AM | This thread is much to serious! :smash: I am out of here! :bolt: |
@TurtleCove, I have really no experience with calling in to raise limits - hence my lack of contribution to this thread. I just spread sales a lot. Some accounts gradually have had no limits or have had constant 10/100 - very few accounts start off with no limit. |

You should not say ste alth and friend's info as being the same.
It is not the same. A friend's info being used on ebay/paypal is rather different from having an account made up of ste alth info.
However moving on from that, use the REPORT button if you are dislike responses. Prevents holier than thou posts happening and I agree 100% thread goes off topic.
As you were :pop2: |
| jnm0685 | 08-12-2011 06:59 PM | don't call ebay to raise limits Don't call ebay to raise limits, I did this was selling legit items too and i had reached my limit so I call and asked for raised they ask me to send supplier invoices so I send them all the invoices of my supplier legit info I got a reply back from ebay telling me that there was a different address on shipping than on the ebay account I explain the address was our business address and the ebay address was our home address, they didn't care told me my info was not legit and suspended my account 100% positive feedback over 90 days of selling, this people don't give a **** about what you send them they need to find one little error to tell you no, so sell slowly and I will recommend extra accounts just in case. |
| unkown5454 | 08-12-2011 07:50 PM | Never have mismatching information. That is rule number one with EP and PP. Doesn't matter what the situation is. Quote:

| nobody999 | 08-12-2011 10:50 PM | is there anyway to get to the online questionaire? |
| Sandy D | 08-12-2011 11:31 PM | I have got no limits, 10/100, 10/500 and 10/1000 recently.
I am not going to touch them. It just pushes you to make more accounts to match what you believe you can sell.
Spread them out over the higher accounts, list your one item on the lower ones and let them sit for 90 days and see what happens.
Good luck. |
| gorky | 08-13-2011 01:08 PM | If you are selling legit stuff you should be fine. However, do understand that when you are calling into raise your limits you're dealing with the "AMERICAN" side of ebay. Not the philpino call centers. These people have significantly more power and are smarter. They will pry and if you mess up at any part say bye to that account. I would suggest if you can use multiple accounts because once you hit 200 items on that ebay account they will ask for docs anyways. So the best case for you to is to start another one. Quote:

If your registration info is partially legit, and eBay can find you in public records, you will then be given the questionaire. If you are all stealth, then they will ask you to call in, instead. |

Good luck. | I'm confused. You say you have no limits, and then you post 3 limits..... |

| TurtleCove | 08-14-2011 10:59 AM | Gorky, I've not read this phillipino thing you mention, up here before.
Also, as I said, my limit is currently 100, so how can I hit 200, like you warn me about? |

| dhunter0294 | 09-18-2011 09:19 PM | Turtlecove I'm in the same boat you are,
i'm using a friends information but he "does" know about it.
Account is STRONG 200+ Positive feedback most of it DSR's
Almost a top rated seller but got hit with limit 100/5000 a few months ago after 2 policy violations selling REALLY Hi-Risk items like an idiot.
What you're saying is if the info is legit and you click raise limits it will be an online questionaire not call in? Have you done this yet? If so i'd like to know what happened and if they asked for documents/invoices after the questionaire and what the final decision was. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 09:43 PM. | |
