Default MC999 Listing policy alert: Duplicate Auction Listings?

Has any one gotten this before.. this is a first for me..

Hello xxxxxxx

Thanks for achieving a sell-through rate of at least 30% for your duplicate auction-style listings. We appreciate your efforts. By doing this, you help our buyers discover a wide range of items available on eBay so they can quickly find what they want.

There'll be no action taken on your duplicate auction-style listings at this time. Please continue to monitor your listings to make sure your sell-through rate doesn't drop below the minimum rate required.

As long as you stay above 30%, you can continue to list duplicate auction-style listings of the same item. If you don't, your listings will be removed, and you may be subject to a range of other actions, including restrictions of your buying and selling privileges and suspension of your account.

To check your sell-through rate on your duplicate auction-style listings, please go to:
http://www.ebay.com/auctionduplicates

For more information about our duplicate auction-style listings guidelines, please visit:

We appreciate your cooperation.

Thanks,

eBay

Haven't seen that one before, duplicate auction listings usually water down the price in my experience, low priced BIN with immediate payment required seem to work much better.

Never seen that scenario and email either. Contact them by phone and just ask them. They will tell you the details and you can post them on here.

Just ask them what the email meant and why such a thing would be in place so you understand. In my experiences with the phone support they always answer all my questions clearly.

One of you should just call them. That way you can post some info on here that everyone else will see as helpful.

Until someone asks it will just be speculation from everyone. Including myself.

This is neither good nor bad. They are just letting you know that you have to stay above 30% sell through. Meaning every 100 items you list, you have to sell atleast 30 of them. They do this to reduce spam, meaning those people who use their service just to advertise crap will have their accounts banned. You're fine if you're selling real things that are in demand 3 out of 10 times.

Wow, If I was even close to a 30% sell through rate I would be looking for a nother line of work. I like niche items. I have maybe 2 listings a week not sell. Even then they will sell the next listing for sure.

Must be niche listings that are sold all the time. mAybe I am spoiled.

30% sell-through? You need to go get a day job.

30% is not bad if you have a "huge" profit margin or you are basing it on "huge" volumes of sales.

If it is a small profit margin you need to get rid of that item, the non sold items are eating up your profit.
