dispute help!!

hi, i bought a nike voucher on ebay. seller sent it to me through message. the total was for $200 and i paid $180 for it.

when i got the voucher it did not work. i guess from nike if you sell a voucher it is non transferable and cannot be sold on third party sites.

well i opened up a claim to get my money back. will i win?

FandangoKango 08-22-2011 11:31 PM

You might win. Its a 50/50. Since its not a physical item paypal doesn't like those items. If you paid via debit or credit card through paypal I suggest you open a claim through debit/credit card and try to see if you win that way. If you paid through paypal funds then you might win or not 50/50. :)

for him to win wouldnt be have to show proof of delivery? i claimed it as not received.

Hrad 08-22-2011 11:34 PM

The last time I disputed a virtual item when paying with Paypal for an eBay item, I lost.
Seller wrote "Delivered Virtually" instead of a tracking number.
Good luck to you though

if i lose im gonna be pissed, the douche sends me a voided voucher.

i even mentioned in the claim that it was non transferable, will they even care?

JRYAN34 08-23-2011 12:03 AM

ebay name?

ebaysale 08-23-2011 01:10 PM

No, they will not care in the slightest. I doubt he has any money left in the account, or any real Cc or bank the can refund you with, so there next option is to stick it to you. If they deny you, file a chargeback with your credit card company.

cherrqell 08-23-2011 01:36 PM

im sorry to say you may be out of luck. Just chalk it up to a very expensive lesson, and dont buy virtual/digital goods online. Just give that person a very negative feedback and move on. Like the above poster stated, you may be able to do a chargeback, or file an item not as described.

lulbert 08-23-2011 08:04 PM

i already tried to leave neg but accidentally left as positive.

i cannot and will not lose this garbage. this is unfair.

KingRay 08-23-2011 10:43 PM

File the chargeback. PRobably your only option. Seems just about everyone that files chargebacks wins anyway so why not you?

lulbert 08-24-2011 12:33 PM

i didnt pay with credit card, paid with my paypal balance,

i thought i would win if he doesnt supply tracking? he didnt put virtual delivery in his listing.

KingRay 08-25-2011 04:53 PM

Contact paypal by phone then and talk to them. Tell them what your problem is and see what they say. they are a valuable way to get good info sometimes in cases like this. Good luck.

An easier way to win is just doing Not As Described. Seems very difficult for a seller to win one of those cases.
