I sold my used iPhone 4G 16GB phone on my stealth account. The money from the buyer has already reached my bank account. The buyer messaged me and said I lied about my posting and he wants a refund. Can I just ignore this douche and close my account?

If this account has all your real info then you should think about what will happen if you do that. You would ruin your Paypal account if he does a chargeback or files a claim. Sure you can do what you are asking but the long term consequences may not be in your favor.

This has none of my real account information, all stealth info. He claims the phone I sold him is a verizon iphone 4 which its an at&t iphone 4. I clearly started that in my title and in my product description.

How long ago did you sell it to him? MY questions are for assessment and to better get a scope.
At least all stealth info and money is out - if you catch my drift. Preliminary measure.

I sold it to him two weeks ago, he has had it for an entire week now. And he barely messages me about this.
And yeah I know what your saying, I think I am just going to ditch the account and tell the guy to screw off.

Did you have a picture of the screen that has the IMEI # and the serial number in your listing? If so the first thing on that screen tells you whether you are on AT&T or Verizon.

more importantly did you use tracking, that is how you will win any dispute.
Not relevant particularly but IMEI is useful to report and have device disabled.

@Oompa, tracking would not really come into play here. The buyer is unhappy with purchase and opens a SNAD case - seller is stuck with buyer returning item for full refund. Worst is if the buyer is professional and we all know how that can go down...

You should try to work it out with him. tell him if he returns it in same condition as when you sold it to him you refund his money. He most likely will ignore you and try to keep the phone and get a refund.
If he purchased through ebay, he is protected by their buyer insurance program, so if you disappear he will get his money back from them or his credit card company.

It is an AT&T phone, I got it with my plan.
Here is the situation :@. I told him I would issue him a full refund once he ships the phone and I get it back. He replied saying he wont send it to any address except the one linked to my Paypal account. Which is 100 percent complete stealth information. WTF do I do now?

Maybe change the address PP just for this one time and hope it wont get suspended. If it asks to verify the address just go buy a gift card and register it to your real address.
Its the only help I can suggest, its why I don't sell anything that expensive on ebay. You might be out $500-600, ouch.

I can Clearly see your Customers Point,,,If he Ships where you tell Him and NOT to the Verified Paypal address He may lose a SNAD case,,,the Only thing that MIGHT work is if you change you address in Paypal,,but thats Tricky,,,Paypal MIGHT Limit the account,,your other choice is to walk away ( Which I Do NOT Suggest you do )

If the buyer has already said I'll only return to the address on file that's going to look strange if the address changes.
Maybe the OP might consider phoning the buyer and not treating him as a douche
Does not appear there has been that contact?
Often speaking helps the cause of a seller with a dispute.
OP must now also consider having an address he has access to even if the account is stealth. ebay/paypal have long moved away from non-existent addresses like the good old days.

What instructions do you have down for your return policy on the auction listing? If it says within 14 days, then well, the buyer is stuffed as a fortnight has passed. If he leaves neg feedback, ebay will more than likely remove it for you because hes trying to screw you by not following your refund policy.

@Blackhorse, the return policy you list on eb is a virtual "nonsensical term" meaning that a buyer can do any claim for return within 45 days regardless of your policy...MOST cases.

The approach here is VERY Simple,,when a sale is in Dispute,,,Ebay/Paypal simply make the Buyer PROVE (Tracking Number) that they sent A Package (Irreguardless of TRUE Contents) Back to the Seller,,When The Buyer Satisfies this Requirement they get back EVERY Dime including Shipping,,,,CASE CLOSED!!!
Ebay/Paypal Does NOT want to Know anything about who Broke What, or who Switched what or what YOUR Terms of Sale were,,NOTHING!!!
And Believe me this is the way it goes 99% of the Time,,I Have heard of Exceptions to the Basic General Procedure that I laid out above,,But VERY, VERY, RARE
