Anyone know what will really happen here??

Please avoid this completely if you are not sure or have not had this actually happen to YOU personally.

I always sell off ebay. Probably 60% or so lately or more. With that said, I try to buy that way to so the prices will be lower. when I do I tell the seller I will buy this and that if you take this much for it. usually everything is fine and done on regular emails instead of ebays system

Yesterday this guy said he would sell something to me identical to one I already purchased on his auctions. I said I would take it for the same price it he would. All is good. Then I see something else he has for $20 and I say "since that didnt sell will you go $15 on it?". He said "yes but shipping has to be paid on that as well". I told him to put it in the box with the other items and he said it wont fit. I kept telling him, I have these 2 items already and ship them all the time in the same flat rate $5 box. He went on and on then I just said, if you sell it direct then you will make the same amount of money as you would if you sold it on ebay after fe es.

Bascially he just wanted $20 for it and I wasnt wanting to pay that. I wanted it for $15 and no additional shipping. After crying about it and me somewhat going off on him about what a moron he was, he emailed me saying he sent all my illegal sale emails to ebay since it was against their policy to try and get a seller to do an offline sale.

Now, what will they REALLY do.? I read the policy and they said it may restrict or limit my buying ability depending on activity on the accounts etc. we all know what that means most of the time. I sell about 3-6k per month oh this particular account. No claims 100 Feedback, powerseller with TRS status from basically day one and no low dsrs ever. most are 4.98 or 5.0 on it. Also have 1k or so feedback as of now.

What do you think will happen? Not speculation as many like to throw out there but what has happened to you.

Never been talked to about this before by them so in their eyes 1st offense of anything ever.

i've had this happen years ago...ebay basically sent me a warning email.
but in the future, buying account and selling account should be seperated.

Oh yeah I know. Just saw this and wanted to buy it. I probably have 2 purchases on it sofar. Thats what I figured was a warning.

you wanted to rip some dukats off him and this twit sold you to eb for 5$, this is a funny story. the price of 5$ is not the right amount for a good eb account to loose. anyway I agree that actually it's worth it to squeez any penny possible from a gready bustrd.

This happened to me.

With my experience, this happened about four times- twice in the last few months., ( my items wouldnt sell so the buyers would want to buy it using paypal, but not using ebay, and we would debate on the prices and then he would send my emails to paypal saying i wanted to do business outside ebay). First time, nothing happened. Ebay didnt even write me. Second time, ebay just requested that all sales must be made on Ebay, even if your using paypal.

I was only warned about it and sent some links to there selling practice rules..

However now they can read the messages so fast i am unsure as they may look to see if you are prolific at it.
