| | | nebuspp | 12-25-2011 11:10 PM | Brand New Seller Has HIGH Selling Limits...HOW? I was researching some eBay sellers and came upon cbnailstore428. He signed up in March 1, 2011 and sold over $15,000 worth of items and over 400 total items from the dates of March 1 to March 30, 2011.
HOW DID HE PULL THIS OFF?!? I thought most accounts without a good selling history (especially new accounts) have pretty low limits of under $5,000?!?
If your wondering, I got those numbers from Terapeek. |
| accutinting | 12-25-2011 11:27 PM | Yeah for most accounts the first 90 days are not the busiest. But they really are not selling that much. Your failing to look at this the proper way. Do the break down of it and it comes to about 1,500 a month and 40 items a month. So this may seem alot to you but for many of us this is just a normal account |
| seanws30 | 12-25-2011 11:56 PM | i had one new account that had no limits. ive sold almost 15k since nov 15. |
| accutinting | 12-26-2011 12:18 AM | New selling account no limits..man your lucky most I been getting is 100items 5k on my new sellers |
| seanws30 | 12-26-2011 12:30 AM | be happy youre not getting 10/1000 like most |
| accutinting | 12-26-2011 12:39 AM | Very true.... actually most of my sellers started with 10/1000, but I got to the point where my sales are spread so far on stealths that it doesnt have much impact with my starting limit. So I guess our answer here is that the initial question can be very easily done. But did you have any calls or issues from eb/pp from jumping up to 15k in under 2months or just a smooth ride |
| seanws30 | 12-26-2011 12:49 AM | ebay no. paypal on the other hand has been a thorn in my side |
| froyofan | 12-26-2011 04:41 AM | It's possible that they already have an establiahed ebay and just liked the new one to it. It gets rid of selling limits |
| TowelKing | 12-26-2011 04:52 AM | It's actually some bug with ebay, I already created 3 accounts that don't have any selling restrictions.. I am too scared to use them :/ |

I am thinking that registering as a LLC and showing eBay documents and TIN would help in getting higher limits as long as good account standing accompanies it. |
| TowelKing | 12-26-2011 09:58 AM | Does linking my account to an established seller account lifts all selling limits or just raises them?
Ebay defines an established seller account as an account which is: 1. over 3 months. 2. Has a DSR of 4.8. 3. Doesn't have any unresolved issues. |
| troyzz | 01-02-2012 07:14 PM | I link the new account to the same paypal and ebay account then I call support to remove any limits on the new account. Its a good way to sell a new profitable product without your competitors terapeaking you. |
| BiN4RY | 01-02-2012 07:22 PM | He either made the seller account before the selling limit system was introduced, or got lucky and created a limitless selling account by chance. |

@Towelking, limits don't come into the place until your first sale - or first dsr - something like that. Anyone confirm? |

Amazing and lucky! | Not really luck, you have to know the system in November 2011 to December 2011 I have sold $105,000 in that month with no problems, of course limitation, but send them what they need and all is good, btw at that time account was 3 months old with 500 Feedback and no limits ;) |
| accutinting | 01-05-2012 11:15 PM | Sell4more2 if you sold $105,000 worth in about 1 month on a 3 month old account and no limits then I need to step up my game..lol. Good to see that hussle |

I would guess the percentage of new accounts without limits is very low, probably 10% at best so luck has to be involved.
You mentioned the account was 3 months old at the time, which is it? Because 3 months old with 500 fb has no limits anyway. 90 days and 25 fb the limits are usually lifted by then.
105,000 withdraw on a 3 month old account. Care to share your withdraw secrets because that is a chunk of cash to get out even if you know the "system".
I have a "real" account and get nailed and questioned for withdrawing 500 a pop after a few days. And you were able to get 105,000 out of this account then? |
| justwondering... | 01-06-2012 10:45 AM | I created a new account. I had limits, 10/1000 but had access to my paypal funds right away. Another account however, has my paypal funds held for 21 days. Then all of a sudden, on my 3rd month of selling with my first account, the paypal transaction from my latest sale is being held for 21 days. Whats up??? |
| newjerseymax | 01-06-2012 12:03 PM | Depends on what you sell. I also had 21 day hold. However prove yourself.
After 3 months you will get this email. (actual copy/paste email)
Hello xxxxxxxxx,
We're writing to let you know that starting today, funds from payments you receive will no longer be placed in a pending balance due to payment holds.
What about money that’s still on hold?
You'll be able to withdraw money that's currently in a pending balance due to payment holds within 21 days of payment (as long as there's no dispute, chargeback, claim, return or reversal).
The money currently set aside may be available even sooner if we can confirm the item was delivered or you received positive feedback on eBay.
Will my payments be held in the future?
We may continue to evaluate your account to determine if it's necessary to hold payments again. If we determine that it's necessary, we'll email you. Funds from eBay sales may continue to be delayed based on selling history and performance.
For more information and tips on what you can do to avoid having future payments placed in a pending balance, please see our Frequently Asked Questions.

I have had several lifted after 25 fb and 90 days to get them held again a few weeks later only to be lifted.
I think they are sending a message letting us know they are watching new accounts closely.
I find it very hard to believe that anyone can run 105k through and account that is only 3 months old.
I may be wrong but I would love to see the proof of this because if this is in fact true, then a ton of us are missing something very important. |
| accutinting | 01-07-2012 07:30 PM | I agree Sandy D..He did state some limitation I guess with paypal but still with 500 fb in 3month period thats alot of selling of decent priced amounts to get 105k with little issues..either just pure luck or something is being missed here |
| OfficialGenius | 01-12-2012 11:35 PM | Seriously! Someone drag him back in here! |

a lot of people are nervous about the new accounts they make and everything. ebay knows whats going on. they do. so listing on that account a certain way will get you locked. listing certain items on that account will get you locked, timing the auctions in a certain way which that is incorrect will get you locked. there are a number of other ways to but you have to be intelligent about this if you want to make it on here with a stealth account.
when you make a new account, list about 3-4 weeks after the account has been made. dont even touch it. dont even log onto it. make sure the account/paypal account is ready for business in about 3.5 weeks after you open/make the account.
when you list, list it all together, at the same time on the same day, for at least 10 days or 30 days but only at the beginning of the month. you get more veiws, ebay can look at it however long they want and it will be better for you for your sales.
use fixed priced auction. you dont have to but i wouldnt list another way on there unless i didnt care what i got for the item.
if al of your stuff is expensive, well guess what, your screwed for a while until you fix your account to the correct way. theres nothing else to say but that. sell other stuff. nothing high risk. figure out what is not high risk and sell it. even if you dont have anything to sell that is not high risk, make something , buy something, or whatever, just do it. it helps.
selling higher priced items fast is jsut a way to get looked at by ebay or reported by other members. even if you are doing nothing wrong on ebay, other ebay members can still report your auctions even if they are fine. ebay looks at them, and guess what, you are on the map.
you screw up, they will know. dont sell stuff right away that is in high demand but not a lot of people selling, if you are smart seller like me, i will just take your account out with my other stealth accounts and you will have bad feedback. lower your ratings so selling will be tough. soooo... STAY IN YOUR MARKET. know it very well. know the other sellers and how they sell the same items you do. and most of all... FIND A WAY TO MAKE THE SAME ITEM EVERYONE ELSE IS SELLING DIFFERENT SO YOU ARE MORE ATTRACTIVE.
this might all be common knowledge to some but a lot of people who sell on ebay or start to sell on ebay think they know but in turn, they have no idea.
ebay is a strategy business, not jsut a regular list item and they sell business. play your cards the correct way and you will avoid problems.
#1 reason people get knocked off of ebay.... THEY DONT ANSWER THE PHONE!!!. get a real phone number forwarding service. $5 a month you get a number that goes to your phone that works perfect every time. unlike googles free crap that is hit and miss. fork out the money and just DO IT!!!
everytime i get limited on paypal anyways i always get a phone call. when i dont answer they limit me and when i do answer they never limit me. most of the time they just ask a few simple questions and its about your business and what you sell. answer them like your a salesperson trying to sell yourself that you are the actual person on the account. they can tell when you are scared or studdering or acting like an idot b/c your SH!T is ⊗⊗⊗⊗. ebay has called me too doing the same thing... soooooo
ALWAYS ANSWER YOUR PHONE!!! :D you never know who it can be....
maybe this will lighten this post up a bit and i hope it helps. i have been doing this stuff since i was 15. im now 28
i do not own the stealth book but i do know many ways to win on ebay. i will always recommend the stealth book b/c i know that very few understand this stuff like i do. im sure sooner or later i will pick it up b/c im sure ill benefit from it but as for now i am doing ok.
thanks for reading and let me know if there is anything i can help with.

I do know at some point i will have go move more then that thru an account cause some of the stuff im moving into is higher price with thiner profit margins.
Im legit on the up and up but i've seen lots of people around here get burned for no reason so i'm trying to keep my head down some what.....maybe im keeping it to low :noidea: |

I'll take his phone forwarding advice. |
| ZoonVoo | 08-02-2012 06:15 AM | i create like 5 ebay accounts a week, and i list straight away, minimum 2 ebay accounts without selling limits, actually it depends on many things, life is easy on ebay if you know how |
| makaveliagain | 08-06-2012 04:26 AM | Yea, if you are in the US and seller $105k even in a year you have legit info. Either personally legit or you went EIN to get past the paypal threshold. If you are registered under a legit name and have legit invoices and docs to prove where you have bought your items you can call eBay fax them the info and get the limits raised fairly quick. I am not sure about the identity confirmation but if you do that as well on a new account it bumps up the limits fairly fast. If this guy is telling the truth he isn't giving any of us the info from a stealth account perspective. |
