Suggestion - chat area or IM capacity for forum
 

Sysop - Have you considered this .....

What does that mean? aspkin is the sysop here ( I think) but what do you mean?:confused:

Creating a Java Chat Applet is a good idea *IF* its not autoloaded.

Too many good sites have made that mistake. :p

a chat area is where people get together for online direct communication.

So why did you not say aspkin instead of sysop. Rather technical. I know 'chat'.;)

oh i see, i have just never heard of sysop

I have only been here a couple weeks, I didn't realize Aspkin was sysop, next time I will know.

Aspkin is not the sysop. Only the admin. The sysop works for the hosting company that hosts the site...

Semantics, semantics. aspkin runs the forum.;)

irc? but i think a little chat applet would work better as most people dont know what irc is

how can i get back on ebay i didnt do anything wrong all of a sutton they kicked me off i had a 100% rating after9 yrs

also i tryed to get back on 5 times they rejected me for some reason

i second this, probably a java chat console would suffice, can easily be intergrated..

ehh thats what gmail, msn, yahoo is for. Most of the time your probably just going to bothered with a bunch of newbies asking the same question without reading.

Thing about having a chat applet is that the forum will become dead and there will be so many "noobs" spamming it saying "HOW" "WHY" "OMG WHY"

You know what i mean!

What if it was made for subscribing-members only?


I really don't care for a chat area, but I guess it would be nice for the weekends when everybody isn't busy.
