well 2003pinkpoodle, sorry to hear that. At least now people know that it's static. It's pretty ridiculous they charge $20 to ship a usb dongle.

You live in a remote area with a low population per sq mile.

A dongle's IP is based on cell phone towers. If you have 77 cell phone towers if your area, you will have 77 different IPs to log into when you log in.

If you have 1 cell phone tower, you will log into the same tower every single time.

This is why your dongle has it's own SIM card. Because it works off of Cell phone Towers.

I suggest that you grab your laptop and hop into your pickup truck (cough HILLBILLY cough) and drive about 5 miles down the road and see if your IP changes.

Too bad SIM cards are used in GSM networks...Clear is WiMAX. When trying to make fun of someone, you should probably be sure that you have the slightest clue of what you are talking about first.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Because I live in a large city and my Verizon stick was always dynamic so if what was said about my "HILLBILLY" neighborhood is TRUE...that shouldn't have worked either then? Right? BUT IT DID

I just got the netzero with 4G. They assured me it was dynamic and should change IPs everytime I unplug and replug. Doesn't change. Tried a different laptop. No difference. Even tried ipconfig/release and renew. nothing. Any ideas?

Netzero is not worth it for Stealth. Verizon is a good choice.

Really never heard of Verizon being a Static IP and I live in a big city the fastest changing IP around. Are you using their Fios?.. That I don't have I have Comcast so don't know about that but go to the store grab a Hotspot, a Verizon Hotspot change I don't know about Fios but get a Verizon hotspot turn off on you get a new IP and a lot of IPS

Thanks. I will look into that. Is that a wireless 3G-4g Hotspot I assume. Yes we have FIOS and I assume it's static because I tried to change the IP one time using their IT support and even they could make it change. I ended up getting a new router from them, which changed it, but only the first time of course. Thanks again.

This netzero hotspot been around since March 2012. I got mine April 2012. But it works great. But need to turn it off for hours to get new ip. Dont change ip address easily at all. Horrible for multiple accounts

Bought mine when this I first saw this, got it in the mail, tried a few different things to change the IP, no luck. Waste of $60. Going to try keeping it unplugged for a few hours. Already have it for the rest of the month anyway. Oh by the way, they offer no return policy on the monthly service or the device.

I would not use netzero if they gave me free ips for life.

They are a scam rip off company that overcharges and continues to charge people long after they stop their lousy service.

I did get mine to change IPs but not easy. Maybe someone has a better solution with this thing. I have another vacation home about 250 miles away. Go there every other weekend. It changed when I went there and again when I came back. I assume that means if you can drive and login far enough away from where the 4g signal comes from, it will work. Not sure how far that would be. Tried it about 5 miles from here one time. No change.

It has has tons on redirects to ads when you click on things and puts links to ads in my posts on what seems to be random words. Got to be a better way.
