Did your limits go up in February?

February was the first month NONE of my accounts increased their selling limits at all.

They were different ages. Anywhere from 3-15 months. This February was the first time since the rules changes that NONE of my accounts increased their limits.

Did anyone experience an automatic limit raise in February?

Sneakee 03-23-2012 01:19 AM

My new one went from 10 to 50 listings within the first week of making it.

But it's a legit account. I didn't opt to link it though. I just did the normal thing where you answer the questions.

To OP, what rules have changed are you talking about.

stevesokol21 03-23-2012 02:33 AM

i have 5 accounts and none of mine went up. i think feb was a goofy month. i expected them to all go up but they didnt. we will see thi month for sure

stevesokol21 03-23-2012 02:33 AM

if they do go up i can bring in another $5k profit i think

mercurial333 03-23-2012 06:30 AM

No increases in March, except one account for me.

This was after Requesting Higher Limits?

Sandy D 03-23-2012 12:55 PM

I am starting to think they are both holding back feedback and keeping limits on purposely.

Any theories why?

newjerseymax 03-23-2012 04:17 PM

I can never seem to reach my limits. Must not be doing something right....

Mine change as little as every 4-5 month unless I start to push those accounts.

hashbrown 03-23-2012 11:44 PM

february was a very strange month i started getting limits on paypal and ebay felt like i was being forced to sell less

See my thread about feedback being held back by ebay.

And I have a 2 year account that I had no limits on pp or selling, 75 fb 100% good dsrs etc and when I started selling on it again I still had no limits.

After getting to 125 fb I got hit with the 100 and 2000 limits I never had before.

The want to get rid of all the small time sellers and just have the Chinese volume powersellers. What they don't realize is driving away the small time sellers, and to ebay less than 1000 units a month is small time, also drives away buyers.

Sneakee 03-24-2012 05:42 PM

I've heard this theory a lot as well. The last couple years have been bad for sellers lately and everything just seemed so wrong about Ebay. I kept telling that to people as well since I would search for an item and the first few pages are nothing but crap from China for $2 and free shipping. Why is Best Match getting mostly chinese accounts that re-list the same item over and over again?

Furthermore, why would they want to get rid of an entire portion of their market. The smaller sellers are also the ones with rare vintage collectibles, antiques and truly one of a kinds. I thought that is why so many people go on Ebay.

Not to get a toaster for $9...

What is the trick to open a new Ebay account with no limits, I know for fact that there is a trick but can't figure out how. Does anyone know the trick.....

newjerseymax 03-24-2012 06:37 PM

No trick... Just random luck... Plus nobody would share that secret so easily...:shhh:

GreenBean 03-24-2012 07:07 PM

Should the trick exist it will not be exposed to prevent it being stopped. :amen:

February was the first month i didn't get a raise in 9 months

i did expect a raise on both accounts

I'm just hoping i get the raise this review

good luck

Ballsack 03-25-2012 12:13 AM

Limits were frozen for me for the month of March. No idea why. Up until then my limits went up in some fashion every month, even if it only meant an extra 10 listings.

ilan316 03-25-2012 03:48 AM

should i call ebay to review my account and to raise my selling limit without waiting for there system to do that automatically?

your opinions ?

My opinion? - No!

Cashew 04-02-2012 11:16 PM

Not only did i NOT get any raise in feb, i did NOT get a raise in march either

2 accounts...both 100% with over 130 fb (sold way more tho)
both high 4.9's and 5's
no issues at all with either account

I'm still sitting at 80 items with both stea lth accounts after 11 months

For the last 3 months, i've sold about 50-55 of the 80 items.

I'm sure glad i have 1 real account that has no limits with ebay or paypal

Anyone else get a raise this month?

good luck
