Default Starting another ebay acct - have questions on ip......

My 4 week old ebay acct was recently suspended - cust rep told me because it was linked to a suspended acct (was suspended in 09) that I had thru my stores a few years ago - I must've used some info setting up the suspended acct that I used many years ago for the stores.

I have been reading about ips on your forums and in the ebook I bought, but still have some concerns because my Amazon acct was closed recently too after they said it was related to suspended acct too - and this was after we made sure the ip address was changing at my stores before logging on to amazon.

So, I want to use my store computer to start a new ebay acct ( also amazon after this), because that is where we will be listing/packing/shipping. - I'm using a brother inlaws info (same last name) - phone, address, debit card & bank acct (in my name too) - so all info will be legit info, but I am concerned about the ip. The ip address at my stores all change - if they don't, we turn off modem & restart. We're on at&t dsl.

Is it okay that everytime we log in to ebay that our ip address has changed? (we have been keeping track of them)

Since I have same last name as brother in law - should I mispell it, so they don't by chance link it?

Can I log on to new acct from a laptop - if using at some place like mcd's or starbucks or somewhere else using their wifi? I can't do from home right now cause ip stays the same and ebay will apparently link it from that.

Sorry for so many questions - I have similiar questions for suspended amazon acct - another thread.....

Thanks for your help

@poof, for eB what I do is use the same windows user account per eb/pp combo. The IP changes everytime but I prefer to worry about keeping cookies in place in each separate account.

As for using brother-in-law name, while I don't like using friends' or relatives' info, the main key is that all OTHER registration info must be different than your old suspended info. Lot of folx have same names - there must be TONS of John Howards or whatever around...eb won't ban just because of name.

AZ is a different beast altogether - much more checks in place.

Thumbs down

Thank you for responses. I bought both books and have been reading them. So to confirm - its okay the ip address changes every time - which means its okay to use any of those computers, but make sure I set up a user acct at each store to go into b4 logging on to ebay? and clearing cookies at end of day?

Keep the cookies in the user account of windows - ONE eb/pp combo per user account - if you delete cookies...just make sure you have an active phone number if eb wants to verify via PIN.

I don't delete cookies.
