Very silly idea to use your Dad's info and even worse to phone to get your limits increased.

Topic addressed in many posts.

If you are listing in ASIA that is your limit. Not likely you will get increases.

Why in the world would you put your Fathers name at risk like this?

It does not take much effort to create an account and get the same results.

What happens if he needs to have an eb account at some point?

I wish people would stop trying to take an easy route and put in some effort to create accounts without risking family or friends.

As GB said, this has be discussed to pieces here and most of us are dead set against using family or friends info.

why it is silly? I have planned to use this as main account not stealth. I see nothing wrong with that?? If it is a stealth account, i am not that stupid to use my family name

I am not using it for bad stuff, I am using it for selling legit stuff. I really don't know why you think it is a silly idea?

I still don't understand why shouldn't I use my dad's info? I am using it for selling legit stuff not stealth account. Besides, he has no problems for me to used his info on ebay. This is going to my main account, not stealth account.

A high percentage of those who have end up losing the account and then comes back to bite them.

What if he wants to have the account for himself in the future?

Why did you lose your real account?

Reason I ask is if you use his info and have not become a expert in what it takes to keep an account going and lose the account then you just lost your dads potential to use ebay with his real info.

Who is going to pay the taxes on the sales?

Lots go into doing this.

And no reason to even use his info with all the ways to go around it.

I think it is risky. I know many who have done this and a family member comes back later and needs to use an ebay account and it is gone.

Real accounts go down also, I am sure you already know that.

You couldn't make it up?

Just because its a 'real' account does not make it immune from limitation.

If that happens then what?

Is he going to be ok with it then?

I doubt it somehow.
