ok, I agree, only works on sellers... thus I will wreack havoc on sellers who sell any items I sell. I belive it will be benefical to me if the buyers remain. the nice ones.

I dont get the point in what most people are saying here. Randomly leaving negative feedback on sellers just to "spike" ebay is probably the dumbest thing i have heard. How does this effect ebay? They dont care in the first place. The only person this would effect are sellers like yourself getting screwed by other sellers and ebay when they are just trying to make an honest living. I say continue business as usual and deal with those kinds of buyers when the times comes (read the ebook if you dont know how) and be more vigilant with who bids on your auctions, especially high priced ones.

eBay is trying to get rid of small sellers and keep large ones.

This new policy really sucks! I just refunded some guy $200 because I didn't want a negative feedback.....and after I refunded him he gave me 2 Negatives for the items he bought.....

I couldn't give him a negative, but I still got him hard....

I opened 2 unpaid item disputes saying that he did not pay and chose 'other' for the reason. I knew he would respond....

He then responded saying that he paid....blah, blah.....I then ended the communication and hit him with 2 unpaid item strikes!

Is this our new way to get back at buyers?

Ive tried the UPI with a Strike, but then check in your dispute console- and click on the dispute a week later--they remove the strike,, all the buyer has to do is send an email, strike gets removed,,its happened on 4 diff buyers in past month--even 1 in italy--strike disappears

Refunding buyers out of fear of bad feedback is giving into terrorism. You give into a terrorist threat so they don't kill hostages and they kill the hostages anyway. Same with feedback.

Yea but Jonas, feedback dents your business. It's probably worth refunding for the sake of future sales.

Especially now when your more likely then ever to get a neg.

and negs lead to suspensions. buyers know they've got you.

nothing
we have no say in ebay's decision unless we do something really huge that changes things, but the chances of that are slim to none.
so we just have to live with it, more of a reason on not to depend on ebay with your income.

I've just started on a new account. Sold two items to this guy jaypatel25. First he never replied my messages and at last i got a reply saying he has never been on that account for years and maybe it was his friend who used his account to bid. Sensing pure bull****, i filed unpaid dispute and got back my money. I thought ebay was smart to not let people leave feedback if the item was not paid for.

But i was wronG!!!! Today i wake up and my feedback is -1 :( I see that he has done it with few other buyers too. I have contacted ebay, is there a chance they will see the item was not paid for and feedback was left and remove it?

If you followed thru and gave them an unpaid item strike for each item, yes ebay should remove the negative feedback they left for you

Already gave the unpaid strike for both of the items he bought and also also got back my money. Will it help if the dispute is already closed?

They won't remove your negative feedback if he has responded to the dispute.

A few weeks ago I had someone buy 2 items worth each about $50. I started the auctions for $0.99 and $19.99 shipping each (little bit more than the actual shipping price, but not a lot). He actually got angry because I wouldn't combine both of them into 1 shipment and that he had to pay the $19.99 twice.

hi, when I still had my 8 year old powerseller account, I forwarded a similar
email with headers to T&S .. . 3 times... the response i got is that the buyer wasn't extorting me and that he is entitled to his opinion.

but it doesn't matter anymore... I lost everything I worked for 2 weeks ago for "abusing ebay".
