Default How long do you guys give your buyers to pay ?

Just wondering how long you give your buyers to make payment?

I use to give 5 days back when ebay was alright, now i expect payment within 2 business days, although it takes some of the idiot redneck on ebay to even realize they have won an item.

Im interested to see how long you give your buyers, feel free to discuss

I invoice them one day after they won and keep sending one daily until they pay and on the 3rd invoice I ask them that if they do not want the item to please let me know. after that they usually pay or reply that they'll pay tommorrow, plus I notice that buyers pay sooner if they were to win an item at the beginning of a week rather than the end of it

I usually get payment within a few days, but I'm also sending 8-10 GCO invoices a day to these guys.

However, if I accepted Paypal it would be different since 80% of my buyers pay with paypal instantly even though my auctions specifically state to wait for my email to proceed with payment.

I sold digital items so I required immediate payment. I've had about 800 transactions with immediate payment requirement and ALL buyers have paid immediately. My auto delivery system was tied to paypal. So the only way to get it, is to pay. One of the advantages of selling digital products.

On on physical ones, when I do sell some, I give them 7 days because this is the time frame to file a unpaid dispute on ebay. Even if you said 3 days, and they don't pay, there is nothing you can do until the 8th day. I hated waiting for noobs to pay. I don't understand why they can't pay immediately unless its by check or money order. Then if they send money order on 8th day, and you calculate the time via snail mail, you get payment by 10th or 11th day.

I do this too, keep sending it daily until 5 days. If I get no correspondence, I request the buyers information and contact them by the registered phone #. But if it was only for $40 or so, I don't bother with the phone and just file the NPB.

You give them 5 days and then you file NPB? How? via ebay policy I think you have to wait 7 days to even file one.

Sorry, maybe i explained it wrong

I meant that I basically give up and stop sending them emails and the invoice after 5 days.

If its an expensive item, i'll make the effort to call. If not, I wait it out, not wasting anymore time sending emails or reminders after 5 days, and then file npb if they havent paid by the 7th day.

I give them 7 days. You can't file a dispute before anyways.

I'm trying to get all my customers to pay me using GoogleCheckout but it's hard changing their mindset.

So I'm stuck accepting PayPal and want to start accepting money orders as well.

Does anyone here with a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address/⊗⊗⊗⊗ name accept USPS money orders as payment?

if so, what do you Guys tell any potential bidders? I ask because one bidder wants to bid on my item and I don't mind if they do but I don't know what to tell them?

My real name/address and ⊗⊗⊗⊗ eBay name closely resemble each other.

Do you think the Buyer would be suspicious?

You can PM me if you want.

I just hate PayPal

If you use google's product search or google base, google really pushes google checkout onto people.
