| | | lightmaria | 06-28-2012 01:21 PM | How many people leave you feedback? Out of 10 buyers how many of them would you say on average leave feedback.
Currently I'm only getting a 30% feedback return. WHich kinda sucks. =( What about you guys =x |
Hiya,
We could turn the question around a bit & explore the ways to run, operate & manage the EB/PP A/C to increase the likelyhood of ensuring you get FB left for you ??? |
| lightmaria | 06-28-2012 03:17 PM | Whatever floats your ship.
I don't go out of my real for feedback returns, i usually sell an item on time and leave feedback a few days after it sells. |
We can combine both your & my approach on this thread.
My thinking was gauging 'best practise' indicators for FB retention from others on here in this area might prove to be more helpful/useful.

| LoopHole | 06-28-2012 06:22 PM | Always get 10/10 sometimes 9/10 :) |

| lightmaria | 06-28-2012 09:52 PM | On some items that I sell I get a lot of feedback but for other items..like some baby items I sell I hardly ever get feedback and I'm assuming thats because parents are too busy with their new born babies to leave feedback on ebay? I dont know thats what I'm assuming, I'm going to try using some automated system requesting buyers to leave me feedback. o_o |
| bansheezone | 06-28-2012 11:41 PM | years ago people left feedback, now these days you have to beg for feedback. A simple follow up could lead to trouble for example:
Hello just following up with your order, were you happy with your purchase etc....
Then they respond well actually etc... then they hold it over you to get something out of the deal you name it the game has changed. sp simply adding a note in the package is the best way that I have found to work, along my business card and contact number if there really is a problem. |
| Sandy D | 06-28-2012 11:43 PM | I agree.
I tested this a bit.
Some buyers will be happy to leave it if you have left it for them and ask the nicely.
Other, typical ahole buyer who say, glad you asked, no I am not happy with this and would like to return it or I will keep it for some kind of discount.
This is what I been getting lately. |
| bansheezone | 06-28-2012 11:46 PM | that is why I stopped following up with buyers, my sales are fine and I know how to get my feedback where it needs to be after a certain number it is not important, its product and price. |
| Nissan2nr22 | 06-29-2012 01:21 AM | I never follow up with buyers anymore either due to giving them the option to attempt a return on me instead :/ |
| cortex | 06-29-2012 08:29 AM | I have same as the OP... approx 1 in 3 leave FB.
I found that if i send the item and they receive the next day, the ratio goes up to about 1 in 2
Good customer service is crucial. Sending items out fast, replying to queries quickly and politely, well packaged items. A good all round service basically. |
| they_screwed_me_too | 06-29-2012 08:58 AM | i concur with cortex
i find 1 in 3 ish
8 years ago it used to be 70% or more
sign of the times |
| lightmaria | 06-29-2012 09:27 AM | I agree with banshee, I don't wanna remind them because I dont want them to have a reason to complain or make a return. so I just stay quiet =x |
| BigCJ | 06-29-2012 11:01 AM | Since a lot of my sales are feedback based. I tend to put in the description that I leave feedback once feedback is received. usually around 85% of the time I get feedback |
| golden_monkey | 06-29-2012 02:32 PM | feedback is hit or miss, ship fast, pack good, leave a little note inside maybe, and thats all you can do. Def wouldn't go poking around asking for it... as stated just another reason for them to complain. Sometimes i'll get feedback a month later, some people just don't log into ebay everyday like we do :-P im about 75% and sometimes it takes a while to get it all. |

| gtaforever00 | 06-30-2012 11:36 AM | I have noticed that when I ship out the same day or they get the package within two or three days, the usually leave good feedback if everything is good other than that I am lucky to even get 4 or 5/10 feedback |
| DrDread | 07-02-2012 12:13 AM | I don't babysit my feedback When an account is new I do manage and monitor the Feedback but once it's established I don't pay that much attention. Once the account is established, it's really not that important what percent of buyers leave feedback but what is important is providing impeccable service so that the feedback you DO get is all positive.
Try selling on Amazon; you're lucky if you get 10% of buyers to leave you feedback.
Basically just provide good service, don't sell questionable items, ship ASAP and the feedback takes care of itself. |
| bpdoz | 07-02-2012 01:23 AM | Mine about 60-70%, provided that I'm doing nothing.. |
| ebabe | 07-02-2012 05:56 AM | on average, 50% | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:14 AM. | |
